it will be amazing to see how much faith people really have in God after this election is over. there are a lot of predictions being made, a lot of accusations of all the bad that will happen, and a lot of of scenarios being created...all because of a man who is running for president that makes them uncomfortable because of what is in their hearts that should not be there.
you should get out of debt because it's the right thing to do, not because you are afraid of a man.
you should save gasoline because it makes sense to do so, not because you fear man.
your financial decisions should be made because of what is best for you and your family, not because of the fear of man.
the Word that you claim to believe says that the fear of man brings a snare, and that you are taken captive by the words of your mouth. and...you need to stop lying on God. if you believe that God is in control then what really bothers you about this whole thing?

If, Barack Obama is somehow elected into office, you and your loved ones better be ready.

God spoke to me almost 8 months ago about preparing for the potential of a financial storm if Obama gets into office. His Marxist agenda will tank our economy, just like Carter's did. If you're not old enough to remember the Carter years when we last had a Dem President and controlled congress, let me give you some stats of what we lived through.

Mortgage interest rates - 17%
Car loans - 21%
Unemployment - 10%
Gas up
Food cost skyrocketing

It was miserable! Combine that with how weak our military was made and it's amazing that only the hostages were taken.

The only thing I am telling you to do is pray and ask God if there is something you should be doing.

A couple things I, personally have been doing.

• I re-financed my home into a lower rate locked rate. That way I am not effected by what rates might do.
• I started a two to three day a week part time job and have been banking all the income from it. It's amazing how much will accumulate in 6 months.
• I have brought both credit cards to a zero balance.
• I purchased a motorcycle (pick it up today) that gets 45mpg to get me around on my daily runs.
• I moved funds in my retirement account to a slightly higher risk group to generate more income until October. (It's given me about 22% more funds)
• I put my tithe on an auto pay directly from my ban account.

God impressed on Joseph to take from the 7 years of plenty to store for the seven years of famine. I believe it's time to do the same.

I will say this, People are already suffering under the rule of Bush. One man is not responsible or can't be for the entire condition of a country that has been setting itself up for a downfall for how long now? ..............C'mon now, let us keep it real. That is why your confidence should be in God, not any man. We are to walk by faith, trusting in God, not Bush or Obama. People are merely mortal and dust. We are reaping the consequences of something that was coming at some point anyway.

I don't even blame Bush for all the issues.

I for one hope that no one reports you. You're free to express your opinions and it reveals your heart to the board. But there's a whole lot of accusations here I will address.

My faith has always been in God, in fact, this thread comes from that faith, that I can hear from Him and follow what He tells me to do. I'm just sharing what God is saying to me, I've said it already - people need to hear from God for themselves, I'm just sharing what He is speaking to me.

I'm not 'uncomfortable' in my heart towards Obama. The only thing in my heart is the Love of God. What I am cautious about is any man, woman who is desiring to hold the highest office in our land who is a social and economic liberal.

What I am uncomfortable with is a person who wants to introduce another level of socialism into our economy - and that would destroy it.

What I am uncomfortable with is a man who is weak from a military perspective. He's a dove in the middle of a time of war, and that will cost people their lives IMO.

I am and have been out of debt for more than 10 years - I paid off a whopping 1,000.00 in Credit card debt - whooptie doo! I also paid for the motorcycle in cash. I'm out of debt because I am a good steward.

BINGO - that is EXACTLY what I am doing, I am making changes and banking funds BECAUSE it is what is best for me and my family. It's WISDOM, not fear.

I'm not lying on God as you say, but in a way, bragging on God. He's helping me get ready and take care of my family. That's not fear, my friend, that is what a husband and father is supposed to do.

Absolutely nothing - because I have direction and the means to not be moved. I have heard from God and am following Him, if Obama is not elected, the only thing that happens is that I am in a better place financially.

Have you looked at my profile picture? It's August, I'm darker in skin tone than Obama is. Have you met my brothers and sisters in Christ that are at my home and part of my family? Really good answer!!! Context is of course key.

We would not submit to an authority that was doing evil anymore than we would submit to a minister that is doing evil.

Example = Those hiding Jews from Nazi Germany

Example = Jim Jones demanding that everyone drinks the funny looking grape juice.

In both cases it would be rediculous to submit to the authority.

This is why we have to view and understand things in context and use rational thought to guide our understanding.

Paul was speaking against those that would use the bad parts of the Roman government to advocate lawlessness. Paul speaks against this.

I spoke of an awakening coming to the Body of Christ in the beginning of this year and I am sure many said I was crazy when I was saying sooo much. But, It is surely here and God is waking up the Body of Christ. We are the Light that this nation and world needs to see, we have not been a light, we have been just as hypocritical and blind and naked as the world in many ways. The coming end of the "Age of Church" is here and the "Age of the Kingdom of God" is what it is about.

For so long, we have sat around talking and debating and being separated because of the many misconceptions and misinterpretations of scripture. Jesus did not die to set up denominations and doctrines, but to bring the Kingdom of God to earth. If you don't know what the Kingdom is and what Jesus spoke of so much about, then it is time to seek the Lord and get on his agenda..cos that is his agenda in this hour.

Example:

In October of 2001 I was planning a move beck to Oklahoma. While praying out the plans and asking for God's guidance, He spoke to me a bout watching American Airlines stock. As the weeks passed and I prepared to move I saw that the American Airlines stock had fallen to 4.00 a share. The Holy Spirit said - "buy 1,000 shares". I had the funds, but the move across country was expensive also and it would really strap my cash if I did it, and I reasoned myself out of follwoing His guidance in my finances.

In less than two years the American Airlines stock had recovered to 41.00 a share. My investment of 4,000 would have been worth 41,000.00. I promised myself that I would never talk myself out of what God was speaking to me again.

In fact just last month AA dropped once again to 4.40 a share and this time I didn't miss God. In less than a month my money has more than doubled.

I worked two full time jobs for more than 6 years so I could get out of debt and have money to invest.

You talk to God - have God talk to me and I'll do what God says -

But don't be surprised when you talk to God about your finances, if He doesn't show you someone that is hiring.

He did with me - it was no fun, but in the end more than worth it.
