IJWTS - Since March. It's under warranty, but still a bummer. Fortunately, I backed up some of my files last week. Oh well, these things happen. Other than this little setback, I love it.

Is it a MacBook, or a desktop version?

IJWTS I've had mine going on two years, but last year the hard-drive did something funky (they said it was a "dead" model?). They replaced it free (woot, Apple) 'cause it was still under warranty, but I'm scared to think what it will cost if something else happens to it. LOL.

PS. I love mine too. Even with that little problem, I wouldn't trade my MacBook for a PC...EVER.

Speaking of Mac... I decided to start fresh and reinstall the operating system on mine... it worked... then like 30 mins later, it decided to shut down and when I went to turn it back on, it wanted me to reinstall it again... and when I tried, the hard drive didn't show up... SOOOO, I took it to the Mac store and they said the hard drive died, and that it would cost $300 to replace it. (It only had a 1 year warranty) Whatever. I decided to toss it in the trash today.

All I used it for was iTunes anyway. That's all Macs are good for.

I'm ashamed to say that my brother is a Mac "Genius"... he works for the new store in Monterey... He's been shunned from my life. lol

IJWTS that I'm thrilled that I found cheap airfare to Seattle to see my family.... only $227 round trip! That is an insanely good price to fly cross country.

FYI it would take 40 hours of driving (3-5 days) to drive the 2765 miles (one way) from my house to my parents. In my super fuel efficient Honda Civic that gets 38 MPG highway, that amounts to about $300 and who knows how much in hotel expenses, food, and an oil change

So yes, $227 is very, very good.

IJWTS I consider that to be my hometown.. I lived there (and the surrounding cities since we moved about 10 times) from 1992 to 2002... 9 yrs old to 19 when I joined the Army and moved to VA.
