There is a consequence for any cultural emeshment into the spirit world.

Um...you really don't show that the spirit world has any effect on the world. Assuming Hindu gods are fallen angles proves nothing. You have to show that they are fallen angles, which you have not, much less that they have any effect on the material world.

- People who know god personally and speak for him - what's up with that?

I mean, if you speak for an omnipotent and omniscient spiritual being, what does that make YOU?

An Avatar, of course.

Why dost thou think I have this username? ;)

Obama gave a heck of a speech in Berlin, way better than the one give by JFK back when. E.g., Obama didn't say " I am a citizen of Berlin." in German. That was downright UnAmerican - I think JFK might have been a secret Muslim.

And, just like Reagan at the U.N., Obama said he was, besides an American, a "citizen of the world." He is letting Republicans know that he, Obama, is the new Reagan, and that if they are smart they will vote for him and not McCain, who probably can't even find the U.S. on a map anymore.

pretty pathetic that people will try to say they are offended by Obama signs at the wailing wall, but were totally okay with McCain playing politics with genocide while Obama was visiting the Holocaust memorial in Israel.

This isn't just a double standard, but a standard that makes no sense at all

I think you meant "angels". Angles are abstractions too, but they have physical references, unlike angels, and are thus geometrically and demonstrably "real".

Q. How many angels will fit on the head of a pin?

A. As many as you can imagine.

McCain has basically called Obama a traitor several times now - and with no facts whatsoever to back up his slurs.

This is beyond the pale. I could never consider voting for such a low life person for any public office. McCain has shown himself to be as despicable a politician as has ever come down the pike in American history.

After Bush destroyed him back in 2000 he should have taken a hint and retired to private life. The fact that he is still around is an embarrassment to everyone of decency.

Naw, God in the Bible really is an english translation of a word/name in Hebrew. The God of Bible has revealed he has many names. Christians today have mostly restricted themselves to three names, each revealed by God himself, and in english mean "Father, Son, and holy Spirit" However messianic Christians still commonly use many of the names God revealed back in the days of the Old Covenant.

The real God even has a name he revealed to the Hebrews which no one knows for sure how to say. God's revealed names in the Bible, reveal his character and attributes.

Uhmmm been here?:
What is the origin of the word God?

Ultimately, the origin of the word god is uncertain but it appeared in various spellings in Old English c. 825 and had cognates in the Old Frisian, Old Saxon, Dutch, Old High German, Old Norse, and Gothic languages. There are two Aryan roots - one meaning 'to invoke' (Sanskrit) and the other meaning 'to pour, to offer sacrifice' and 'to boast' (Greek). The word was first used in a non-Christian sense to refer to a superhuman person who was worshipped and believed to have power over nature and the fortunes of man. The words for god were originally neuter, but when Germanic tribes adopted Christianity, God became masculine in form. In the Old Testament various names for God are used: YHWH, Adonai [my Lord], Jehovah, and Yahweh. The most common name for God in the Old Testament is Elohim, a plural form, but used as a singular when speaking of God. The spelling god is first seen in print around 900. (emph. added)

ouch... more facts in the face of relentless Republican lies and spin. Fox News reports no bounce, Gallup and Rasmussen both find BIG jumps for Obama in their daily tracking polls (an average of the last three days) the day after his big speech in Berlin, and averaging in the days following trips to Iraq, Afghanistan and Israel. The Gallup tracking poll, which yesterday showed a six percent lead for Obama, up from two yesterday. For the average to change by four percent, the polling from yesterday must have been particularly strong in both tracking polls.

So much for the notion that there isn't a bump from this. But again, national polls this far out tell us close to nothing besides the fact that McCain can't seem to get any traction. How these bumps translate into the state by state results should firm up where the main battlegrounds will be as the race settles a bit in August as we hit convention season and the real beginning of the election proper

I can't prove they are "fallen angles", cuz that's a geometry question, and I'm not good at geometry (and spelling and grammar).

Seriously, to know that demons are fallen angels, you would only have to read and believe the Bible, which describes Lucifers fall from heaven to be bound on earth (and the atmosphere of the earth). The fall of Lucifer and a third angels who became the Lucifier-corrupted angels of heaven, Lucifer became then Satan, was really only witnessed by God and the angels (which are not the intersection of two lines). There are a whole bunch of demons (fallen angels) on earth right now, some of whom are locked in spiritual God-made pit of incarceration (later to be released to fulfill part of God's plan)

Hey, even I don't agree with the OP...but it being racism is totally stretching it.

I don't think so. The OP has a bee in her bonnet because Obama has an African name. We've already established that if he were named Bob, Tom, Rick or Steven that those would not be "demonic" names. The OP is claiming that, because Obama's name is African (Luo, specifically) that makes it unsafe to utter.

Maybe her bias against Obama isn't rooted in his color per se, but it certainly is rooted in his ethnic heritage--his race.

I heard it. I'm willing to bet it was a Palistinean upset by Obama declaring that Jerusalem must remain an undivided Capital. Believing that Obama wanted to trade or sell Palistinean "right" to Jerusalem in order to achieve a peace settlement.

ahh, the old "I'm rubber and you're glue" defense. Among the most effective in reasoned debate
Not hardly. What does genocide have to do with the Wailing Wall? You're combining apples and oranges. Is not Obama exploiting genocide showing up with a camera crew and dozens (or hundreds) in tow? And if Yad Vashem is such a holy place, why have every politician since it was opened deigned to be photographed there?

Demons live in people who call others demons....

My first name is Michael; does that mean if you say my name you're calling upon the greatest Seraphim in Heaven? does this mean I AM the Archangel Michael? Does this mean God finds me more in favor than the rest of his children's names?

LetHeavenFillyouup>> are you a xenophobe? Are names only in Biblical etymology only acceptable in your small circle of reality? Please stop spreading such dribble, fodder fit only for the least fulfilling debate and mindless anarchy we know as ignorance to the highest degree.

Geeze it makes me mad what people will say in the name of politics....

people who are this ignorant and xenophobic I'm inclined to believe shouldn't even be allowed to vote. If they spread fear and hatemongering lies.

Saying those kinds of things about people is just plain anti-christian...gooooood loooooord help us all....

I consider the OP's remarks to be especially offensive and inappropriate, because most Luo are faithful Christians, not to mention friends of the U.S. Anyone spreading the kind of slur found in the OP should be ashamed of themselves. Does the Bible not counsel us against bearing false witness?

So was Hitler only motivated by his humanity, ordering death of millions? And Pol Pot, only motivated by politics when he conducted the killing fields? And Sadam Hussein and his son's only motivated by a desire for totalitarian control, when they gassed the Kurds, and hung people on meat hooks, and operated rape rooms? I think not, those guys were monsters, spiritually sick, spiritually twisted and motivated by an evil dark world of demons.

I am not going to silently stand by while a demon influenced canditate named after a demonic spirt named "twisted" runs for US President.

Who's bearing false witness, when the Bible speaks out about the reality of demons, Jesus set the example, showed us they are real, they inhabit and negatively influence people, and that the names of demons are powerful signatures? I simply am showing the reality of the Luo naming rituals from which Obama got his name, under the old traditional way of the Luo, in which cultural institutions that you can find on the web faithful supply the facts. That's not false witness, they are the facts.
