Pray For Our Country

I believe that most of us are from the United States,(even if your not please feel free to post your country) and I believe that God has been telling me for some time to start a prayer thread for out country.
I believe that it is important to pray for our countries, especially in this day and age. Really all it takes is one, but can you imagine what could happen if we all stand together as one in agreement and pray over our countries and our future president/presidents, and our troops?
God can do Amazing things. There is power in prayer, the Bible says when two or more are gathered in my name it shall be done.

Jesus,
I come before you and ask that you protect our county, I pray that you keep you hand of protection over us. Jesus as we face election in search of a president I pray that he is a Godly man whom seeks you for direction, I pray that no man gets into office that you did not put there.
I pray father for protection and guidence over the ones fighting to protect this country and everything we stand for. I pray Jesus that we stop taking you out, but we as Christians stand up for what is right and put you back in. Father I pray that we stop accepting things and tolerating the untolerable I pray that we come together as a nation and stand for you the True God the True leader of this country and stop letting them water down the truth and accept the "politically correct" I pray that we stop the pervision and come before you. I pray that you unite this country and you build us back up to glorify and honor you,

I just pray for our country as we are facing prelimanary elections today, I ask that you intercede on our behalf and go befor us not just as a state or country, but as a nation. I pray that you are once again the corner stone of America and that you remain our foundation in our lives, in our schools and in our constitution. Amen.

praying for Austria

Guess most of you don't really know a lot about Austria...it's a rather small country in the middle of Europe (between Germany and Italy)...population about 8 million, size rather small, lots of mountains (the Alps go right through Austria from the East to the West), the capital is Vienna....major religion is roman catholic (we are one of the traditional roman catholic nations in Europe) about 73% are catholic...but only about 0,5% of the population are believing Christians....

this month we're hosting the European Soccer/Football Mastership (together with Switzerland)....a lot of churches all over the country are broadcatsing the games at church (mine is as well)....we have been inviting people in town, handing out flyers and football tracts and hope a lot of people will come (and that they don't come because of the free beer )...the whole thing will need a lot of prayer

the other thing I've been praying for my country for quite some time now is "revival" (not in the sense of something big...rather I want people to wake up and realise that there is more to being a christian than just going to church on a sunday and doing bible study) and that seems to start happening now at least in youth group....

another point - especially in my church but in other "non-charismatic" churches in Austria as well - is that people don't seems to know the Holy Spirit at all I didn't know anything about Him till I went to the UK and ended up in a charismatic Baptist church there....we've got a few churches that know about Him but most people totally seem to ignore Him....that has been one of my prayers since I came back from the UK at the end of last year and since then we've had a sermon and two youth session on the Holy Spirit and people start asking question but they are just beginning to find out about what God has in store for every Christian

Yes, Jesus I thank you that you are all knowing and all powerful, thank you that nothing is to difficult for you. I praise and thank you that you sit on the right hand of the father and intercede for us on our behalf.
We come before you Jesus in these dark days and ask that you rise above the perversion and once again stand as Lord over all, King of the world and Judge over the Nations. I pray for all these countries listed above that you reing in them once again. I pray for unity, that the bod of Christ stands together to fight for you and what is right, that we no longer accept the "politically" correct way Jesus. I pray that your glory and power ripples through these nations Jesus may you open your flood gates of glory, mercy, and power upon your people, let there be a flame that consumes the world one country at a time, a flame so powerful that darkness can not over take it, and that nothing can put out, we call for an out pouring of your holy spirit, we call for revival. We shout it in the north, we shout it in the South, WE SHOUT IT IN THE EAST AND WE SHOUT IT IN THE WEST!
I pray that only the people whom you want to lead these countries lead them Jesus, I pray that no leader gets in that you have not placed there, I pray that rightousness prevailes and you are glorified above all else!
