Judaism is a nice religion but I have been set to a different "Path" right now. I would say it is running pretty much in parallel with yours in some ways. I am still into the Hebrew and Greek a lot.

Regarding the OP...this is not new news. This is how it's always been. I dunno if you remember my good buddy P_G, he was King of the Messianics and the executive admin of CF for some time, but he wasn't ethnically Jewish afaik.

I think it is very sad that this deceptive practice is allowed to take place here. I have no trouble with disagreement at all and in fact learn much from those with whom I disagree. But what would hope for is honesty and integrity. If that least that is not there, there is absolutely no point to engaging in further discussion.

Its like when I hear from some segments of the Messianic world that they are highly offended at being called Christian. I always feel bad for the rest of Christians that they are looked upon with such disdain.

And incidentally I happen to agree that ethnicity doesn't really matter. I only found out recently that I am, in fact, ethnically Jewish, but having been sheltered from the faith all my life, I don't really feel it.

Thankfully, G-d sees it differently .

I always wondered why Orthodox Jews even went to that board. Iwas kicked out of it a few times myself [as well as the OBOB Catholic board] and I was Christ-ian!

So I did what Jesus told me to do in Matt 10:14

although maybe he have had a hand in it.

non-Trin (the name escapes me now) who
didn't stay around long. She was upset that
she could not post on the forum, but
Jews could (members with a magen david icon
could post anywhere; probably their way of
having access to try to convert us, LOL).

When she asked a Mod there why this was
so, the Mod posted to the Administrators
and it took off from there. The powers that
be at that time decided she was right and
blocked Jews from posting...

Would it not offend you if, let's say, a Muslim called himself a Christian, because he accepts the idea that Jesus is messiah? Especially when that is all he has in common with your faith, and his concept of what the messiah is is different from what Christianity holds?

You know what the sad irony is here?

On this forum, depending on whom I was conversing with at any given time, I have been lumped into the same category as Satanists, Vodouns, Santerians, "fluff bunnies," and even those little freaks practicing pseudo-satanism to appear rebellious or shocking (Mind you, I have no problem with the first three religions mentioned, but they are not -nearly- what I practice), and all because the Forum administrator's POV has been that we are all the same.

So please believe me, I have a very good idea of how you feel, and certainly agree with your sentiments. I don't consider it to be fair or reasonable either.

At the same time, though, I can't help but feel compelled to ask; can you now understand better how I feel as well? And if you had taken notice of my position a year ago, would you have ever foreseen it would eventually be directed to you? And most importantly, if this is the direction the administration wants to take today, what can we expect tomorrow?

You feel that ethnicity shouldn't matter. In a way you are correct. When I say that, what I mean is that anti-Semitism isn't really about race or ethnicity but about Judaism. But Judaism itself is about lineage. One can't get away from that. And it is this very belief that G-d made a covenant with Abraham AND HIS DESCENDENTS for ETERNITY that so ticks people off.

Christians have never had a corner on the market of Anti-Semitism. Polytheistic pagans before them sought to wipe out the Jewish people. In fact, the earliest record of Israel is an Egyptian source which simply states, "Israel is no more." Secular regimes as well such as the communist block countries also sought the irradication of Jewry because simply to exist AS A JEW was to believe in G-d. Now Islam is working overtime. In each group the issues play out, but in slightly different ways.

The idea of the church is to spread it's "good news" to all people. But of all people, the Jews are unique. Why? Because it was to the Jews that G-d first revealed himself and formed covenant. It is to the Jews that the Jesus came and preached. Even the apostles said, "To the Jew first." Yet the very people to whom the Messiah should have most quickly recognized and embraced considered him of no significance whatsoever. THAT is deeply disturbing to Christians, and it is why they tend to target Jews above all groups for conversion.

When the temple was destroyed, and later when the Jews were kicked out of Jerusalem, the surviving gentile churches lost their connection with what had been the heart of the believing community in Jerusalem. Without a Jewish core, they quickly proposed a way to compensate for the rejection of JC by the Jesus: The REAL Israel didn&#8217;t! The OLD Israel rejected him, but now the Church was the NEW Israel.

Jews, simply by remaining Jews, represented that reminder that Israel didn&#8217;t go along with the game plan. It is why every Jew in every generation was said to have Crucified Christ anew. Supersessionism became the rod with which to bludgeon them.

Paul makes a distinct difference between Jews and Gentiles. As far as salvation is concerned - Gentiles are now partakers in the Grace HaShem offers thru Yeshua. But as far as now becoming Jews instead of Gentiles, that would be like saying since an orange is in a basket of apples and was sold as a basket of apples, the orange is now an apple.
What Gentiles don't realize is to be a Jew - one must accept the history of the Jews, the tears, and horror and the commandments and all that goes along with G~d's calling Jews - Jews. Especially as a Jew who accepts Yeshua as Messiah. They don't understand the life. We are not accepted by some in the Christian world (boy the looks I get in the Tel Aviv airport by the Christians on tours when they see me... my headcovering and long skirts...) and we are not accepted by some of our own People in the Jewish community. It ain't an easy life.

The tears that my sins have caused - yes Yeshua has wiped them away and will continue to do so. The tears of my People I choose not to forget and I cry with Him as we remember what has been done to us. Those tears have a deep connecting thread. And those tears are for times past and for things that are now happening to those in Israel who name the Name of Yeshua as Messiah.
