Never felt it and never said it. Not sure what it will feel like if I do and whether I'll realise it.

My ex told me she loved me just before Christmas. I broke up with her just after new year.
Ouch...

I just saw this....10 or more??? WOW...is it just me or is love one of those words we just through about without any sincerity anymore?

I wonder if the 10 or more includes everyone we've said it to, not just romantic partners?Cause it seems a little much to me also lol

Then again after listening to me teen aged god-daughter say it like nothing from this guy to the next...is it so far fetched? I mean do we really say it as indiscrimantely as we use other words?
SilverTheSprite posted that she was the one that voted 10 or more and that it was from her teen years.

I was thinking more along the lines of mature love - true romantic - I'm in love with you and could be for life type love...

I still think though that some adults don't really understand the commitment that should come along with saying those three words...of course, adults say it and totally mean it and things happen in life where it changes...I'm not talking about that...

I just mean that I think there are some women and men that are so desperate to be loved that they do throw those words around in hopes that someone will return them...

Oh, I was absolutely indiscriminate and nuts as a teen...you know, you "loved" every cute boy you dated. So if we don't count the teen crush "loves"...it's definitely less than 10 lol.

Those 3 little magic words that make you :swoon:

I've actually never said them to anyone that I've been in a romantic relationship with...I've felt it for 2 of the men that I dated but I never said it to them...I wanted them to say it first...and obviously, since I'm not dating anyone at the moment - they never said it! :D

Anyways, I was just curious...how many people (I'm talking romantic love) have you said, I Love You too and really meant it?

2

the first one tho was highschool love so i don't know if i'd really count that one. young and "in love" doesn't seem like a "real" love the majority of the time.

so a more accurate answer for me would be, 1.

I said zero, and that actually makes me pretty happy. If it was a high number, it would mean that either I didn't attach much meaning to saying it, or I'd had a lot of heartbreaking failed relationships. It's by far my preference that the first one I say it to will be my wife :)

I feel the same way, except I want the first person I say it to, to become my husband :)

Ok, who else picked the "10 or more" option? lol

If the question had been "Who have you said "I love you" to, and truly meant it?" ... my answer would have been more like 5. Oh wait...that IS what the question said LOL. Well, phooey. I read too fast.

Not sure what the point of this thread is in the first place...
