Did Mary Know Jesus was the messiah?


I would like to ask...did Mary, the mother of Jesus, know Jesus was the messiah? If so, from what point? When did she know?

(Non-Christians...while you can partisipate in this thread...you might prefer to hold off until after I get responses and pose my secondary question.)

If an angel appeared to you, then you became pregnant without having relations with your husband, what would YOU think?

I do not know if Mary knew that Jesus would be both totaly Man and God, but the jews were expecting the Messiah for a good bit of time, so I think she knew He was the Messiah. She might have known when the Angel told her she was with child, if not then she knew before she went to her cousin Elizabeth, because Elizabeth called Mary the "Mother of my Lord" and Mary did not refute the that claim

you have to think, she was around 14 when she became pregnant, it might have taken some time for this to sink in, being such a young person with so many concerns about being pregnant before she was with her husband
