Is Sodomy Immoral for Everyone?

I think this type of sex is proabably immoral conduct for everyone. I'm speaking of both anal and oral sex which we know to be grossly immoral conduct for fornicators both gay and hetero.

Even in a male/female marriage I believe it can become sin when it becomes the end to the means, meaning it is more than just a prelude to intercourse in a marriage.

That is what some pastors have said, and I believe they are right. Sex can become witchcraft and idolatry in a male/female marriage.

I see no reason why oral sex or anal sex are immoral within a marriage. And most couples have oral sex, from what I have read of surveys on this topic. Nothing wrong with it that I can see.

I think it risks becoming sexual idolatry. I don't know of any married couples that are doing it. It's really kind of gross.

Again with the "gross." You think oral sex is "gross?" I can't see how anyone would think that. But hey....if you think it's gross, then no one is telling you what to do in bed. If you don't like oral sex, then don't have oral sex.

I don't see why having oral sex risks becoming sexual idolatry anymore than intercourse does. They are just variations on sexual expression.

Well, it kind of squicks me out too, but then there's a simple answer to that - I won't do it.

But I'm not sure there's any reason why other people shouldn't.

I suspect anything sexual, from vanilla heterosexual sex upwards, runs the risk of becoming sexual idolatry for some people - if that sexual practice becomes the be-all and end-all of their lives, and something they place over and above God (if they even believe in Him in the first place). But that doesn't make whatever activity it is intrinsically wrong.

David.

Paul said the Marriage bed was undefiled. What a married couple do within the privacy of their bedroom, as long as it is mutually acceptable, is nobody's business but theirs.

Some of you folks are missing the point......(hmmmm....).

Here's the thing......(that doesn't work well either).

Ok, let's say it this way.......the missionary position is the only non-sinful way to have sex.

Everybody knows that.

So......all the perversions being discussed are simply impossible.

Fact is.......REAL Christians don't even think about them (thinking is as bad as doing).

So......if your brain causes you to sin.......pluck it out.

Nothing wrong with it except it is outlawed by the Bible.

Sounds like you have a dull sex life...

Dear Ohioprof,
Ok others do, what is your reasoning based on?
There is no reason to believe that either oral sex or anal sex are immoral within marriage. They do not harm anyone, and they are not illegal, since the Supreme Court struck down the state laws banning oral and anal sex. They are expressions of love and intimacy, and love and intimacy within marriage are good.

Mercyburst... if you don't like it, then don't do it.

But just why are you so concerned about what OTHER people are doing in the privacy of their own bedrooms?

Where does it say in The Bible, "Thou must have sex in the missionary position"?
In the Middle ages the Catholic Church taught it was sinful to have sex in any position other than "man behind, both partners facing same direction".

I don't know why.
