Theological tyranny? To have Jesus Christ as your savior is now tyranny?
Yeah but it wouldnt BE Jesus, it'd be YOU. And leaders that have "divine inspiration" have often turned into brutal tyrants.

Workers' rights? They would be working. They would have the right to work. Where's the problem?
They have the right to be protected from exploitation, discrimination. abuse, poor working conditions, as well as the right to a fair wage and a fair workday.

A shortage of arms, munitions, and men did the Confederacy no harm in the early stages of the war.

Let's face it. The CSA had no will to keep fighting.

Second, I speak of the economy because you can take your moral values and stick it up where the sun don't shine... WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY TO FEED YOUR FAMILY!

See, I can write in capitals too.

Off to bed I go...

The talk of economy is a cope out and you know it. It is not hard to keep your economy going, especially if you HAVE PEOPLE. If you abort all your babies, you won't have an economy in the first place!

For the record, I never said we would have to fight a war with the U.S.. We could secede from the Union without a war. And we would not have to go to war with other nations. If someone were to attack us, we would just go Nuclear on them and shut them down. The vast majority of nations will back down when you Nuke them. Like Japan did in WWII, most humans will just stop trying to fight you if you turn some of their cities into glass and shadows.

Moral values first! Then the economy. In that order.

What about the Christians who have abortions? What will happen to them under your "new nation"?

You honestly think the US would just let you secede, just like that? No questions asked? Come on now...

And we would not have to go to war with other nations. If someone were to attack us, we would just go Nuclear on them and shut them down. Where would the nukes come from? Assuming the US DID allow you to secede, I highly doubt they would let you have nukes. And you do realize other countries have nukes too, right? Getting into a nuclear war with countries like China or Pakistan would be the end of human civilization as we know it.

Yea, right. Anyone who doesn't want babies being butchered through ABORTION, or homosexuals running wild, is instantly the Taliban!!!
No. Only those that castigate those that have received abortions or that are homosexual.
"Look Marge! He hates abortion: Must be the Taliban!"

"Wow, did you see that? He got all bent out of shape when the homosexuals ran through the streets of the city on their floats in that parade wearing ladies lingerie throwing condoms at children: Must be the Taliban!"

Give me a break. Peddle your hatred for Fundamentalists somewhere else.
So here is my question. You have a thread elsewhere claiming that hate is a righteous thing. Why do you now whine about others pointing out this hatred? If hate is a godly attribute, shouldn't you embrace it?

In the confederate they had a death penalty for black slaves simply for hitting a white person, right?

If communism is oppression, then so were these white racist slave-holders, even if some of them claimed a "shiny, proud American-Christian" veneer, they were really wicked worshippers of the master of darkness from the firey pits of hell.

The confederate flag is a symbol of hatred and racism. Freedom of expression is important, but no right is absolute. Symbols supporting things such as Nazism and the racism of the Confederates should not be allowed, they need to be put behind us and left there.
To you.

The flag is a representation of the St Andrew's Cross... a religious symbol of seafarers, I believe.

It was around a long time before American Slavery and has been around a long time since...

SoF why don't you have reference to a single word of anything Jesus said, let alone any scripture at all?

I mean, I always felt it was pretty obvious you didn't care one bit about the life and teachings of Jesus of the New Testament, but at least it's nice to know my feelings have been confirmed.

With regards to the confederate flag, I suppose it doesn't actually stand for racism, but the only people I see fly it are cretin racists. Also putting restrictions on expressions because you find them offensive is phenomenally stupid.

5. Marxist Communism in all it's forms is wicked and evil. It is inspired by lucifer and should be driven from the face of the earth.

By all means... we need to drive any sense of equality and community from the Earth!

Wasn't the early church a communist society? (that is until the Romans took it over)

God bless Greed and selfishness-driven Holy Capitalism!!!

Thank the lack of gods that I'm a libertarian capitalist.

eudaimonia,

Mark

I was planning on staying far, far away from this thread, but when I saw this post, I laughed out loud. I'm a pacifist Socialist Quaker who is in love with an agnostic Libertarian. I was sitting on my bed last night when he suddenly says to me, "I don't approve of your statist ideals, Hallie."

And I'm like, "Statist ideals? Zuh?"

He says, "Socialism! You're a socialist!"

And I'm thinking, "Wow, did it take him THIS long to figure that out?"

Ahaha, good times. I think he and I would both be executed if we tried to move to SOF-land, though. LOL!

You might be intersted in the story of Mary Dyer...

The early Puritans were not very different from the SOF folk... believe like me or die!

After reading that story, and after having compared their ways and attitudes with the ones of Christ and the early Church, I have to make the conclusion that these "puritans" were much closer to "bloody, demonic creatures representing devil on earth, disguised as angels of light and thus leading the flock astray from ways of truth and love" than genuine Christians following the words, life and spirit of Jesus Christ.

Except you're proposing Jesus as savior -- you're proposing yourself. If/When JC returns, he'll set up his little Utopia just fine without your help.

What you're talking about here sounds at first like little more than keeping his seat warm for him when he gets here -- only problem is, if/when he did eventually show up, you'd never willingly relinquish power.

Workers' rights? They would be working. They would have the right to work. Where's the problem?

Problem is that nobody except you cares all that much for slavery.

I believe that I made it very clear that I do not believe in slavery!!!

Slavery the way we practiced it was wrong. And I don't believe that there is any need for slavery in our times at all. So it is a mute point.

I love all people. I have no animosity toward black, red, yellow...ect.. We are not all white, so what? God has no problem with people of any color so I have no problem with people of any color!!!

So all racists slanders against me are ridiculous. Period. End of remark.

A period at the end of a sentence means that that is the end of the remark. Nothing further follows after that period.

So, there is slavery that isn't wrong? There is a context were OWNING another human being is okay?

Praying, have you ever read the entire Word of God?

If you have you know what I am talking about. If not, then I can see why you are scratching your head.

It is never preferable, but sometimes especially in the O.T. times, slavery was unfortunate but a fact of life. Therefore GOD made laws concerning it. One of my favs is the year of Jubilee!!! Every 50 years all slaves were to be set free!!! We never did that here in the states! We were grossly violent and hellish toward our slaves! That is why GOD laid the SMACK DOWN on the U.S.A. AND THE C.S.A.!!! Hundreds of thousands of white lives were lost and too many to count were maimed and harshed due to the war!

Why do you think I protest ABORTION soooooooooooooo much???

We will pay again in lives and $$$ for the hatred we have shown toward our unborn babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. I am not a Biblical literalist, just o set the stage.
  2. I believe slavery no matter what is wrong. Human beings given the right circumstances generally speaking are cruel and slavery, owning another human being is ripe for that cruel streak to emerge.
  3. "We never set our slaves free", no we didn't especially this we/me, since my forefathers were slaves.
You and your ilk can have CSA, I'll stick with the land of the free and not some forced religious nut country.
