Exactly. Or just bad writing...Direction of move I'm guessing.
What confused you about that?Wow...I was seriously confused at last night's episode. Well, I was really only confused with the whole Matt/his dad/Nathan/Molly situation. I guess maybe I'm just slow or something...

Well, he could have just lost his memory from the jolt of him blowing up. I think that is what happened. I have not seen him use lightning like the girl did last night.. I know that the blue orbs coming from his hands are Ted's power under control. But if you read the graphic novels, he makes lightning come from his hands by thinking about Caitlin. What if she has a lightning power also... would make for a good chick on chick lightning cat fight...
Agreed. I think that was when he was first getting his abilities, that he needed to "focus" on what he associated with the ability, which would obviously be the person. But now, seeing he has lost his memory, he obviously still can use the powers now as he needs them, for protection and whatever. I know alot of people are knocking this season, but I think it is very good.I had thought that might be the case prior to last night, as well. However, there was a scene in her apartment where she definitely infers she has no similar power; combined with the fact that Elle (the Kristen Bell character) it would seem that has to be where Peter got the ability.
Also, I think it was fairly clear when Peter was working with Claude that his thinking of a person to spark an ability was more of a crutch than something that is needed to activate the power.
I enjoyed last night's episode. No West or silly twins!
I don't have a problem with new characters, per se. I like Monica a lot, she's one of my favorites now on Heroes. Why does everyone hate new characters? This happened on LOST and now it's happening on Heroes. I don't understand. I didn't see anything wrong with Nicki and Paolo (of course, the fans created such an outrage that the writers decided to kill them off) and I don't see anything wrong with West, Maya, and Alejandro.
good thory, the only thing is how would he of know that Matt was coming??I do like Monica the best. Maya and Alejandro are ok IMO. Not sure exactly what part they will have to play, though.
What about Matt's father?
I think he might have made Nathan kill Nakamura and made Mrs Petrelli injure herself in the cell. He did get Nathan and Matt to fight each other. I think the mark on his picture was just a ruse to make Matt think he was a target.
The Peter thing is interesting. I'm not to sure about the idea of having to relearn what he can do, but I guess they had to tone him down somehow.
