(I got this in my e-mail today, and thought it was VERY worth passing on. I forwarded it to everyone in my address book from both of my e-mail accounts.

Hey mate. Please avoid passing these chain mails. They tamper with the consciences of others merely forcing someone else to forward this type of spam out via obligation in order to avoid being the majority who are seen to be 'unrighteous'.

I may suggest a better way? Encourage those you know who are down (via email of course). Avoid chain mail like the plague.

Why do people bother responding if all they are going to do is trash me, and my attempt to help others?

I swear, everyone would just be happier if I was gone......LIFE SUCKS!!!!

I can't even do a "good deed" without getting negative feedback. GOD, I HATE LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't take negative crap anymore!!!!!! But what does anyone care?

God cares. Share something from the heart. Many people are just turned away by what is usually spam mail.

Take it easy. I think you're overreacting. My motive for the post was to protect you from spammers and becoming one (which mind you, will seal your fate for a lot of hatred from others).

Let me give you an illustration. There are spammers out there who write up christian stories about some dying baby (who quite frankly doesn't exist), pass these along and say on the lines 'if you don't pass this message along, it just shows that you're disobedient to Christ'.

It's a hoax mail that preys on the consciences of others (especially baby christians) in order to spread a chain mail letter that clutters the internet and fills your email inbox with all sorts of trash. It's literally, very literally, no different than the viagra spam you commonly see. They just change the tone of it.

On the other end of 'christian evangelican spam' is probably some satanist who wants to see how many people it got through to, sit back and enjoy the weak mindedness of others. Just like a bully who scoffs off at a nerd at school trying to fit in.

I'm not trying to bring you down. You obviously got the heart which is what God honours. It's the method I'm telling you that is incorrect.

Granted of course not every christian spam mail is authored by a jerk. Some are genuine christians who want to reah out to others. That's awesome, but becareful of the method.

Thank you both for the responses, but No, it isn't just this. This was just the tip of the iceberg.

There is WAY more going on for me, because of a very cruel mental disease. It's to the point where my Mom doesn't want me to call her anymore, and my Pastor is on the verge of not talking to me anymore either, because I'm too much for him to handle.

Well, granted your illness may justify your response. You're not the first and you definetely aren't alone in that area. Sometimes we feel depressed and all we want is someone to comfort us.

The trouble here is, we can't see what you're going through or understand that (unless we suffer it ourselves) so on your part you may have to grant grace to those who do respond even if it seems critical and uncaring (which in reality, is not based on the fact that they don't care, it's only because they treat you as any normal poster who seeks some kind of reply, regardless of the tone.)

In any rate, we're not trying to be harsh, it's just how people percieve it. In fact, I think I can say for sure I was trying to be as gentle as possible.

You should start posting in the help forums (illnesses and support etc) to get some prayers and help going for you if you haven't already. I mean let's be honest, if you're depressed and you need a hug, the last place you want to go in is the General Apologetics right?
