Could you fall in love with a member of the same gender?
Nope, but I dont see what that has to do with anything.

Could you fall in love with a member of the same gender?
I would say..no. But I have hear of of people who identify as gay fall in love with the opposite sex and still identify as so. I have also heard of a straight person fall in love with the same sex but still maintain that they are straight. So I guess anything is possible. I don't think it is for me though.Hey, I have a question.
Is it at all possible for a homosexual gay or lesbian to fall in love with someone of the opposite sex?
Did the lesbian say she could fall in love with the opposite sex?I was once told by a lesbian that it really didn't matter, she just found women more intellectually stimulating.
I was also told by a gay man that he enjoyed sex with women, he just liked sex with men better.
I never actually got around to asking him if he could in fact fall in love with a woman.
I wonder if they can?
In your eyes. They are the ones championing hate
What? You mean all those babies that have been born since the beginning of time isnt evidence enough?evidence?
Some people feel that treating people with dark skin as equals is “icky” does this make racism acceptable?
I'd have to say, everyone who finds it disturbing doesn't have to be a bigot. Some hetero pro gay people have admitted to thinking it's disturbing as well. It's sex that is out of the norm nothing wrong with admitting that.Does this make bigotry morally acceptable?
Its stupidity that gets in the way. Like someone saying, if the shoe fits. Why not just figure out why Christians do what they do and see if you can fix it.If the shoe fits
Because it's universal, its every hetero, not just Christians. So you might want to think about finding out why people think the way they do so you can work on easing their mind. So you can be closer to having rights. And there are racists who happen to be black…so what?
Why did it take more than a century after the end of the civil war to pass civil rights legislation?
I like how you keep bringing up the black thing, it's funny. Doesn't help your issue so its funny. Were blacks scarring members of congress?
Some what and through the example you have set here it's been made a little clearer has to why that is.So…its the fault of our gay and lesbian brothers and sister that people are prejudiced![]()

The gay man..might be bisexual. I can't really speak for either of these people since I do not know them.
In general, I would say it is not. Since the vast majority never has.
Again I can't speak for them. What does this have to do with the topic at hand?Yes she did and no he wasn't, he was full blown gay.

Hmm..why assume that? I want to hear your arguments.Nothing really, just figured you wouldnt accept any reasonable argument I made so I started something new.

Well I disagree. Remember, not all heterosexuals find gay sex repulsive and some, even if they do, do not believe that it is enough to stop them from getting certain rights.Well, ok.
I think if homosexuals stated that they knew exactly why people dont agree with them and make it clear that they understand how those people feel they will get their rights a lot quicker.
But, it has to do with sex. Hetero people simply dont find gay sex agreeable, at all. And this sometimes offends homosexuals. So they dont often like to admit that it is same sex sex that sets them apart.
Which really is the reason they need rights to begin with.
You seem to have a very weird obsession with gay sex. What does sex have to do with marriage anyways? But, it has to do with sex. Hetero people simply dont find gay sex agreeable, at all. Having said that, we don't need rights because we have sex. Thats already legalized. We need these rights so we can take care of our families and spouses to the best of our ability. Also having the gov't legally recognize the relationship is cool too.
I don't know what else to say, if certain people are seriously upset over what other people do in their bedroom, thats their problem. They need to mature and realize that its not all about sex.
I don't see how gay people acknowledging that people have issues with gay sex would change anything. They're still not going to like it. Besides, we know they do..and most know that we know.
You seem to have a very weird obsession with gay sex. What does sex have to do with marriage anyways?![]()
About 95% of people have sex before marriage, so I'm going to have to say No. (and that wasn't a joke).Dont people consummate their marriage with sex?
That was a joke, just in case.

I don't see why you are so obsessed with the sex lives of others. I will try to put this into the simplest terms possible so please try to follow along.
If you don't like gay sex, then don't do it.
Outside of that, you have no right to tell other people what they can and can't do in their own bedroom. I don't care how icky you think it is. People have a right to do what they want with whomever they want and there isn't much you can do to stop it.
Fine, I will use "repulsive" from now on.Hey its an "icky" word person.
Marriage (gay or straight) isn't just about sex. It's about two people who care about each other and want to make a commitment to stay together. Why are you making it all about sex?I didn't say everyone consummated their marriage with sex and I certainly didnt say what homosexuals should or shouldnt do in their bedroom.
I just gave a reason has to why people dont agree with homosexuals.
Because it has to do with sex, I'm bringing it up a lot.
I know this is way back in the thread, but this is a tautology. You are basically saying, "Straight people are straight and not gay." If straight people liked gay sex, then they wouldn't be straight anymore. What point were you trying to prove with this?I'd say every single hetero person I have ever talked to has very plainly stated they wouldn't enjoy sex with someone of the same gender in the least. Even pro gay hetero's admit to it.
So is the reality that is influenced by someone better then the reality that people admit to freely?

I'm not even sure what you are trying to say anymore. What does any of this have to do with gay marriage? How will allowing gay people to marry suddenly start confusing everyone? The gay people will have sex with and marry other people who are gay. The straight people will have sex with and marry other people who are straight. It will be exactly like how things are right now except for the gay people marrying gay people part. What is so confusing about that? What people are really concerned about is homosexuality confusing the issue and making it even more complex.
People like to know that they can be safe in the understanding that homosexuals are homosexuals and heterosexuals are heterosexuals.
With homosexual culture being in the state it currently is, there is no question about that.
I'm not syaing that it will or wont happen. The issue isnt what we think in a debate forum and if the few of us here believe homosexuals will or wont make a pass at every person they see.
I think there are people out there that fear gays and lesbians will be more accepted if same sex marriage is legalized. Yeah...I don't think culture was the word you were looking for but I think I understand what you're saying.the issue is in peoples fear of what will happen once the gay and lesbian culture is widely accepted and making marriage legal will only cement the thinking that gay culture will be widely accepted.
How would their rights change?People simply want to be assured that when that happens their rights will be protected as well.
I think many of us understand. But I think they are incredibly immature if they want to deny someone rights based on the idea that gay sex is "icky". But I understand what you mean when you say we have to understand why the other side thinks the way they do in order to successfully confront it.Because sex is such a big deal its the heart of the issue. Understanding how people see gay sex and their response to it can make all the difference.
