Too bad something like that couldn't really happen, I'm pretty sure that a level one with a starting weapon wouldn't be able to do any damage period against a level 60 with max armor.

You should search for a video called Leroy Jenkins, I'm pretty sure it was a real life happening in WoW.

Halo 3 Beta, it was team Slayer on Valhalla. 2 of my guys ran away with the Warthog before I could hop in. So I run after them. As I'm nearing the middle of the map, I hike up the hill in the middle, cresting the top only to see my team's Hog leap over the ridge. I duck and squeel from surprise (which I think got more laughs than the near miss) and the Hog's back wheels barely miss my head. Thankfully one player happened to see it and sent the saved film over. Was great... but guess you had to be there..

In this thread you post your most hilarious PvP (deathmatch, duel etc) moments....

Here's my current one, which happened tonight.

I was playing Unreal Gold against one other player. We were on a map in space, little platforms with jump pads and teleports to get between them. So she was way out to the end of the map and all I had was the eightball gun(shoots rockets and grenades).....so I fire off 6 rockets at once(gun has that function), and she ducked in real life!

Alien vs Predator:
I was in the subway station level as a Xenomorph (one of the headbiting guys) vs my bro as a Marine- he had come out into the open central area and was firing for all he was worth at a shadow or something that looked like my character, when I flew across the map from the corner and pegged him in the face... You know, I've never seen a person jump out of their skin before.

Hmm, I used to play a lot of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault but nothing comes to mind. I was pretty good at it! Not anymore...

But the funniest (or saddest) thing that comes to mind was my stupidity in Operation Flashpoint. I think it was my first time playing it online and it was all new. I was playing a Soviet Spetznaz operative (they're awesome) and the game was pretty crazy. Anyway, I planted some explosives on a road and hid in a nearby bush (the only bush on a wide pasture) and when the Abrams tanks came they all blew up.

Yeah, I cheered and was happy with the achievement, but then I started wondering what the noise was behind me. An American APC was driving right behind me and I panicked and tried to stay out of sight in the bush. When a guy came out I just started shooting with the AK. Then I realized the guy was also a Soviet who was coming to pick me up. Then I got flamed by him.

I think I then took his APC and got blown by some Hind a moment later.

That is funny....and kinda...OUCH. I've shot at teammates before but the servers we play on don't have friendly fire on so they don't die.

Just finished a good evening of eve pirating

Me and two friends are hunting around, looking for targets, in a severely underpopulated area, and we find a caracal (basically a smallish ship)

So one of my friends warps in in a much smaller ship, locks onto and scrambles the guy so he cant run away, and opens fire, the guy then warps off, he had a stabiliser, my friend then , in 5 mins, convinced the guy that he is a miner and he had locked the guy by accident, and never scrambled him, (you would have to be an idiot to believe that), then asks for the guys protection from pirates....

The guy agrees, and warps right to us. We were laughing as we killed him, =) tried to pod him well (destroy the escape pod that jettisoned), but the pod got away

Then we told the guy that we are sorry and he can have his stuff back, and leave it at a planet. The guy warps in, in another ship and we kill him again , that was just the pit of idiocy, and by some freak chance his pod gets away again......

Ahhh, definitely the most satisfying game by far

Im a miner and I cant even begin to tell you how frustrating it is to have someboddy come along and blow your rig out of the stars for no other reason than they want the ore in your hold, nevermind the fact that it would take them fifty trips to move it all

We were not actually intending to pod the guy, in fact, we never intended to gank him by pretending to give his loot back either.... we do have some feelings. It just because this particular specimen decided to annoy us without end until we decided to annoy him back, properly.

Podding is a bad idea, the first time we tried to scramble his pod, was for a ransom, and decided to pod him only on the second time, after he annoyed us.

We don't actually want your ore, procedure is if one of us catches a miner, we do not kill the ship, but try a ransom, unless there are hostiles in local, or we are at a gate, and if we do pop the miner, we go for the shiny t2 loot , no one really bothers with ore unless we have an indy in local

Let me ask you why do you mine? Is it really that fun? I tried it our in the beginning of my eve career and disliked it, and realised that mission running is an equally good way to make loads of isk, and I couldn't sit at the same belt for long..... what is the appealing side? or is it the selling manufactured stuff on the market?

It gives you teh excuse to let your ship sit for hours while you go watch TV and do other things. LOL. Trust me on this; my dad did that a lot.

I had just recently respecced to resto and had a new dagger which I had to level the skill up (since i'm missing my swings quite often)

on the boat from booty bay to ratchet, a lvl 59 (orange) hunter started to attack me on the boat (I was alone with him.) He sends his pet, starts attacking. I have earthshield on so I'm healing every now and then.

We fought on the whole trip to ratchet. All I was doing was poking him with my dagger and missing 60% of the time. I was still full health, no matter how much I kept getting hit. It was when he was at 50% life I realised that I was actually winning the battle! Before long, he started to run and I beat him.


I've also gained 30 more levels on my dagger skill on the way.

AHAH! PK the PKER!!!! Plus, it's not a big surprise. You kept your cool and had superior skills in magic defense. Though the gap in levels was fairly small and could have gone either way. i think without that "shield thing" that healed you, you might have lost.

I generally set traps for thieves and pirates. However if I truly get caught, 9 times out of 10 Im perfectly willing to dump my hold for the guy who catches me, its usually pretty valuble and no one gets hurt. But then people get greedy and I have to send thier blood pressure up by slipping next to a moon and taunting them mercilessly.

Mining is not as mind-numbing as it may seem. It does have its moments. It gets REALLY exciting when you can pull in millions of dollars a day. If you want excitement in mining, get a fast ship and mine low sec. THAT is exciting, let me tell you.

I like it because its calm, peaceful, serene. I use the spare time to surf the web and do in-game stuff on the Market

One on Twisting nether with My 50-odd rogue (konoko)and my buddy druid who was mid 40s rescued someone being ganked by 3 hordies in arathi highlands on the road somewhat near to the horde flight point, and then we stayed around to put them down again once they ressed... so they called in reinforcements and soon as we saw each other, me and my friend stealthed and split over the hilltop pretty fast as they were hunting us (it became pretty obvious after a minute or so, so we found a spot that was out of the way and just sat back and watched)
anyways as they were using a bit of a search pattern they came around the bend in the road and ran into an alliance raiding party heading to the horde place, and real good row happened (which my friend and I decided to join in on), but they really didn't stand a chance; the raiding party had a few more 70 level characters...
We were laughing good by the end of it.

I remember in Gears of War, the mode was execution or something like that. Me and this other guy were the only ones left, so it was a sudden death kind of thing. We come at each other with shotguns, but theres a crate nearby and I'm not so sure about my abilities. I tap A, which makes me take cover by the crate closest to the guy, then pull the trigger, and I kill him with the shotgun. Needless to say you had to see it, but everyone was fairly excited after I did that cuz it seemed like I meant to do it, and I did it swiftly and expertly. It was a shock to me, and makes me laugh to this day. I didn't even need to pull the trigger twice.
