What do you all think of messianic jewish prophet Tom Deckard? He is coming down to my area, and a lot of people are talking about him. What would you say to someone if they asked you about him? Here is some information that is circulating about him on the internet:

-------------------------

Do real prophets exist today? Are there prophets walking around who hear from God the way that the prophets in the Scriptures did?

There are a whole lot of false "prophets" running around these days. Time after time they make grand pronouncements about what will happen and they are wrong time after time.

What do the Scriptures say about the standard for a prophet?:

Deuteronomy 18:20-22 (King James Version)

20But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

21And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? 22When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

There are a lot of "prophets" out there who have shown themselves to be false, and yet people keep watching their programs and sending them money.

But what about real, established prophets with a track record?

What about a prophet who has a 31 year track record of 100% accuracy for all of the open visions that God has given to him?

Prophet Tom Deckard is such a man. He is a Messianic Jewish prophet that has never missed in 31 years. Here are a few of the prophetic signs the Lord has given him:

Prophetic Signs

  • Prophesied the coming of the AIDs Epidemic 2 years before it was discovered. He told the people that the government would try to cover it up but in the end they would have to reveal it.
  • Prophesied that Prime Minister Sandiford of Barbados would be resigning from office.
  • Prophesied that the cold war would end and the Berlin Wall would be no more, 1 year before it took place. He also Prophesied that the threat during the cold war was not Russia; it would come from the Middle East.
  • Prophesied that the tornado activity in America would become greater than ever before known on record.
  • Prophesied that old diseases that the world thought had been eradicated would return and that they would become immune to our modern day medicines now being used.
  • Prophesied the flooding of the great Mississippi River 6 months before it occurred.
  • Prophesied the coming of the first war with Iraq [Desert Storm], and then prophesied that America would have to go back and finish the job at a later date.
  • Prophesied the beginning of the European Common Market and the struggle that they would have accomplishing the task.
  • Prophesied the events of 911 five years before it occurred.
  • Prophesied that the Islamic religion would become the fastest growing religion in the United States. This was in 1990, and today it is a known fact that this has come to pass.
Bro. Deckard has given signs to every nation that he has stepped foot upon that they might know G-d has sent a Prophet unto them:
  • Prophesied that the four year drought would be broken in Central Africa three days after he departed from the nation. This occurred exactly as G-d had spoken.
  • Prophesied in Guyana, South America that flood waters would flow into the drinking water and thousands would become ill. This occurred shortly thereafter.
  • Prophesied a great drought would come upon the land of Madagascar. This occurred three months later.
Miracle Healings

Prophet Deckard also has an extraordinary healing ministry. This isn't the kind of healing ministry where a few people get knocked over in the service, but then later investigation can't produce anyone who was actually healed. Prophet Deckard has a REAL healing ministry.

In just one crusade that Prophet Deckard conducted in Africa there were 800 people who went back to the doctor and were medically certified as having been healed from AIDS.

Prophet Deckard has seen just about any kind of miracle that you can imagine. In fact, one of my good friends was instantly healed of a torn rotator cuff when the Prophet laid hands on her in a healing line. Prophet Deckard has established over 160 churches around the world and has prophesied to Presidents and Prime Ministers throughout the world.

Still Not Convinced? Come See For Yourself!

Prophet Deckard will be in Roanoke, Virginia from August 10th to August 12th:

I don't understand why these guys are not subject to the test proclaimed by Moshe within scriptures?

I've never found anyone that can pass those test. cept 4 1.

When i confront some of these self-proclaimed prophets, many of which are found within this site, they say that, those test were of the old covenant, we are in the new covenant, and all that jazz.

It is written within the gospels to test the spirits ya know.

Sounds like his record's better than Kim Clement's is. :D

I've not heard of him. I would go for the curiosity value unless he charges an exhorbitant entrance fee. He should be free and take donations in my mind!

Test everything. There's a poster who says she's a prophet in the NCR forum but she channels and tells the future and has changed scripture to suit herself.

I didn't vote, never heard of this person. I'd not likely make an effort to see him either. I believe prophets are sent and that if they have a word for us they will seek us out.

The test of the prophet I know is that if they tell you to turn away from God and his commands or to seek any other god they are false prophets.

I also would not heed anything from a young prophet before the age of 40 because i do not believe they are adept at decerning the flesh. In scripture it says that Samuel never had any word fall to the groud or fail to come true, it does not say that of any other prophet of the bible.

I didn't think there were any prophets now that the Ruach HaKodesh has come. Not that one can't prophesy, but that there is not position per se. And most self-proclained "prophets" seem awful full of themself anyway.

This guy I have not heard of though.

Prophet Deckard is way past 40 years old.

I don't think that if we sit on our sofas eating a big bag of cookies and watching reruns of Seinfeld that the prophet of God is going to coming knocking on our door.

We need to be ready to listen when a true message from the Lord arrives.

Most self-proclaimed prophets out there are clearly false prophets.

However, when someone has a 31 year track record should we not sit up and take notice?

The test is in dreams. The prophet is to tell a dream, and if the dream comes to pass, then that person is a prophet, if it does not then that person is not a prophet. The false prophets is identified as one that has a dream come to pass, but then leads the sheep astray.

Numbers 12:4-9 4 And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out. 5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. 6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. 7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. 8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? 9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

and

Deuteronomy 13:1-5 1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. 5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

31 years and I've never heard of this guy. Seems strange. Also I was looking at his prophecies and don't see how most edify the body of believers. Or warn as of old to turn, repent............ Those prophecies seem to be more the Jeanne Dixon sort.

google Jewish prophet com????:sigh:

I have to agree. I don't know of this fellow, but many of these so-called prophets have a palpable egotism in their demeanor that makes me suspicious of them. If they were genuine, they would have more humility and fear of God in their demeanor.

My vote would be "I am too skeptical to care." ;)

 And we will be dead or not. :)

I would go out of curiosity but I would also pray that I not be deceived and then listen with spiritual eyes and ears. That's what I did for Kim Clement and I firmly believe that he's the one being deceived at this point! He never ever said the name Jesus/Yeshua/or even Messiah the whole evening. It was Gawd, Gawd, Gawd. Well, I ask you, which god?

Bird flu is caused by several things. Mostly pesticides precipitates the problem and genetically engineered crops.

Same with Aids. It does not take a prophet to see the coming desasters. Greedy men are running large companies in Pharmakia and many will die due to their control of the food sources from starvation, and chemical poisoning and treatment with dangerous new drugs that do not work any better than herbs and medicine we already have.

Predicting the future on occasion does not make one a Prophet sent from God. All prophets must meet the number one test. Do they call repentance and return to Torah?

Me I know more and more people that are not prophets who are having visions. Hopefully they will learn how God wants them to apply them to the service of the people of God.
