I would say He is sound as a pound (£) I stream into his meetings sometimes. Somethings can offend the mind, such as the laughter but that tends to be a natural human or carnal reaction. Holy Spirit laughter is one of the most positive experiences you can have, it is often prophetic too. To have such confidence in God that you laugh at the things that once hindered you from walking a fruitful and victorious life is truly a great blessing.

These are the types of things that can happen to you when you are touched by revival Christianity;)

I don't know "all things Rodney" but attended his Bible Institute for a while and The River at Tampa Bay back in 2000-2001.

What is it you're asking about?
Is the laughter pill for everybody, or is that for him only.

Some seem to force it out...or is that the way to do it........

Only Rodney brings this dimension it seems....

My wife and I traveled to Toronto in June 2000.

We were there for four days. No conference. I can't even remember who was speaking at the regular four days of service there.

We went to one of the "day" services. And were treated simply to a couple of the Ministry school students.

At ten years of marriage, I had never seen my wife given to holy laughter. She is a tremendous intercessor and visionary. She is not given to emotionalism but loves to be in God's Presence. Something very interesting happened that day.

When she was prayed for, she flopped to the ground. She was just saying over and over, "Oh Jesus. Oh Jesus."

And her arm was moving up and down (similar to playing a guitar). Overall this lasted about three hours...

The day meeting ended and we walked down the stairs out to the car. That's when it hit her.

She literally stopped walking, doubled over, and laughed hysterically. She would laugh for a couple of minutes at a time. Stand upright and say, "Oh Jesus. Oh Jesus." and had the biggest smile on her face.

So, I did what any conservative husband would do. I took her to that big mall in Toronto. Through the parking lot, through the mall, while at McDonald's eating, her right arm was jerking and occasionally she would burst out in laughter, followed by "Oh Jesus. Oh Jesus."

She was revived and renewed. And she felt the love and the joy of the Lord.

I believe the laughter to come as God touches His people.

I've been in many meetings with Rodney, and there were plenty of times that laughter was not evident in the meetings.

There were also times when laughter would come into the church there in Tampa, and Rodney was not in the services at all. I've seen it during the worship when there are people who are open to the Holy Spirit.

What do you make of him ? He looks like Tommy Cooper (UK) comic....

but seriously.....his ministry.
Bad news.

Heard him battle in tongues with Ken Copeland.

Remeber that God usually uses people inspite of themselves.

It's not so much the vessels that are used but the believers that are touched by God.

To purport that satan causes "holy laughter" is diatribe to the effects that such laughter has caused in the lives of the believers who have been so affected.

My wife, for instance. I watched her become renewed in her love for the Lord and to be filled with such joy.

To say that satan can cause such joy in the life of a believer is based on ignorance. Not understanding that only God enables us with His joy.

My wife spent days upon days in spontaneous worship after this event. I never heard a "thank you, satan" or "beelzebub is lord" coming from her mouth.

She worshipped Jesus.

Strange, how even satan could cause us to rejoice in the Lord...

Funny how Paul tells us that with the fruits of the Spirit, there is no law.

The word law here is referenced as principle and usage. Also to mean limitation.

IOW, there is not to be limitation to the fruits of the Spirit...

I attended an RHB "conference" in Melbourne.
I heard nothing that I'd put the finger on as wrong or unbiblical. I know nothing specific against RHB himself. I also saw that same "move of the spirit" ministered by a number of other preachers.

There are a number of people whom I trust, who maintain that they had a very real experience of God's power, and that the results were positive. I also know people who (claimed to) have undergone the same experience, and yet the results were not positive. (Including two women who shortly thereafter left their husbands.)
I, personally, did not experience anything other than what I find normal for times of prayer and worship.

My thoughts are as follows.
- While God can and does do "new" things from time to time, this does not mean that we are to make a Rule out of God's exceptions.
- Whenever God does do something new or different, we should expect counterfeits... and guard against them.
- When God does do something different, he does not need us to help Him. If you fell over because the speaker pushed you on the forehead, rather than because the Spirit made it impossible for you to stand, then it was probably a counterfeit. If you laughed because the speaker told you to laugh, rather than because the Spirit made you do so involuntarily, then it was probably a counterfeit.

1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 is probably a key scripture here.
19 Do not quench the Spirit; 20 do not despise prophetic utterances. 21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; 22 abstain from every form of evil.

Stupidity is not Faith.

Cordially......... Peter
