Need ideas for a new name for our youth group.

Hey.

So I'm asking for your idea for a new name for our youth group.

Currently we are called Rage Ignited.

We have new youth pastors so we also decided to change the name and I'm looking for some ideas.

No matter how random, odd, powerful or just plain crazy give 'em to me.

The name of my youth group is F.O.O.T. (Fellowship of Outrageous Teens) I think it's cool to have an acronym because it's easy to remember and it has a meaning behind it. Faithful and Righteous Teens would be a cool name too but the acronym wouldn't be very popular among the congregation. I once found a website that had a whole bunch of youth group names but I can't remember where it was. I would suggest typing in "youth group names" on Google and see what happens.

I am really pants at thinking of names, but have you tried asking some of the youth themselves what they would call it?

Maybe the perfect time for a competition, or something.

Would be involving them, in something that is theirs.

Well, we started a school bible study lunchtime thing called Crossroads because as youth a lot of them are at a crossroads in their life.

And the name of our youth is called Yes UNLIMITED because God is a god of Yes and he is also an unlimited God. I really like the name of our youth.

Maybe once you've figured out what you want your youth to be about (obviously God) and also how you want to impact people. Remember that you need to be able to create your own culture within the church and it needs to be a culture that reaches out into the community. So the name does hold some importance.

My advice would be to look around, ask the youth in your group what they think their youth group is all about, what they are there to do and what they hope to achieve... then just take it from there. Trust me, if you pray about it. A name will come.

In the bible it says we are the salt of the earth so how about SaltTeens. Like the crackers. I thought it was cool.

My church just started aa new youth group. We sat down for three quarters of an hour thinking of names and finally decided on BUZZ. It's about releasing God's energy. The week after we all sat down and thought of logos. Eventually we merged them and it's turned out great. It makes you feel like you really part of the group.
