  1. Caring For God's Creation

I believe that while caring for other people and sharing God's Word should come first, we should also care for the earth and the creation that God has given us (but of course, we should do it the right way without violating Christian morals and values). I have heard other Christians claim that caring for the earth means worshiping it. I don't think this is true. We care for ourselves, for our families and friends, for our pets...that's not the same as worshiping them. You can love and care...
  2. Choose Which Wind

Behold, they [idols] are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion ~ Isaiah 41:29 from the KJV (bold is mine) And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance ~ Acts of...
  3. Seek Spiritual Wisdom And Not Human Wisdom

The true follower of Christ needs to grow spiritually to walk as Jesus walked. By example, Jesus trusted the leading of the Spirit in everything He did here on earth even to the point of death. He did not do His will while serving the kingdom of heaven, but instead always sought to do the will of the Father in heaven. We who claim to seek to be like Christ (Christians) are called to do the same. As a young Christian I was instructed by many so-called mature Christians that I must be as the...
  4. That Unfair Labels.

I despise labeling people with their past mistakes, mishaps, failures, depravity, sin and plain humanity. I dread my labels as well, especially the unfair labels that I know in-depth holds some truths about me. But to face the reality, we all hold titles that we hate, and we give unfair labels to the ones we hate, don’t we! But reading through John’s gospel I see people labeled, so utterly mercilessly labeled as follow, “The Samaritan woman with five husbands” “The woman caught in the act...
  5. Impossible Human Situations (the Abortion Issue)

Impossible human situations (The Abortion Issue) The abortion question is divisive, and I approach it with a certain level of fear and trembling. It is not a simple matter at all. I have friends who are pro-choice. They focus on the mother, her plight, and wish to protect women from procedures that are illegal and perhaps a threat to their lives. I do believe that abortion is not something that will ever go away. However, there are deep moral implications when it comes to this subject. I...
  6. Talk About Being Trans...

When did social justice switch from poverty, health and oppression to abortion, immigration and same-sex marriage? It seems followers of Jesus, if indeed they ever were, have crossed the line of living in the ways of the Kingdom (rather than of the world) and are not only acting as judges but are enjoying casting stones at those not of the same political persuasion. This is what happens when God and religion serves the purposes of mankind rather than mankind changing to serve the will of...
  7. Bridges And Walls

Isn't it interesting that the distance is soooooo wide between world and Kingdom, yet it is just a short hop from world to Kingdom for anyone wanting to make the leap. Worldly Christians avoid going through the gate into the sheepfold because they know to do so would mean they would have to give up being worldly in their ways. Personally it seems to me a lot of time is being wasted trying to get in by other ways. John 10: 1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door...
  8. Peace Within Our Community

I was asked to write an article for our local newspaper. This is what was on my heart at the time. Though it is directed at the town of Winchester (KY), it applies to any community we find ourselves living in. I pray this blesses. Peace Within Our Community Jesus said and did so many things that, if all had been recorded, the world itself probably could not contain the books that would have been written. That thought, perhaps embellished to make a point, is found in John 21:25. Indeed,...
  9. Day One Grace

(after reading Bible Gateway passage: Colossians 1:3-6 - Revised Geneva Translation) The Second Adam made the waves, First Rolled in as Day One Grace. Dumbfounded by new breath, we stared at hands, In awe of what G-d’s work began, That one day will our face-to-face Encounter embolden us to grasp Our Abba at His very best, Him the way He knows our hearts, From Day One, sequence of His art, Such assurance, Jesus’ Grace!
  10. Tenderness And Relationship With God

Tenderness and Relationship with God January 20—Le Fresne church. . . . “Don’t be afraid of being too tender. Or of saying too much to your beloved. Complain about yourself. Say to Him, ‘When will You heal me, My great friend, of this or that?’ So many things in you are unworthy of Me. Humble yourself as you think of this. Hide all your ugliness in My heart. It’s a hospital, you know, and doesn’t one sometimes come out of a hospital cured? Trust in Me with all your heart since I am your...
  11. True Knowledge Of Jesus

As followers of Jesus Christ, God has given us everything we need to be spiritually mature; however, we must actively pursue that goal if we expect to be welcomed into God’s eternal kingdom. The apostle Peter offered us a single paragraph explanation of what it means to follow Jesus. “Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control,...
  12. They'll Know We Are Christians By Our Love

Lydia Walker They'll Know We Are Christians by Our Love We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord And we pray that our unity will one day be restored And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love Yeah they'll know we are Christians by our love We will work with each other, we will work side by side We will work with each other, we will work side by side And we'll guard each man's dignity and save each man's pride...
  13. The Little Ones

The little ones I believe that we are all little ones, not the childish children who rebel, but those who know of their need for grace and understand that we are called to servanthood. To seek those who are overlooked and forgotten, just as there are times when we need to be sought out, for we are all walking a path towards mystery, eternity. The more trust is embraced, chosen, and lived, the deeper we go into the heart of mankind, into the very Heart-Of-God, revealed in Jesus Christ....
  14. Why I Left The Catholic Church

I wanted to talk about why I left the Catholic Church. First I do not hate the Church nor have any animosity against her. I did not leave Jesus like some might think when I left the Church. I left because I could not take the liberalism of the Pope, yes there are liberal and conservative Christians even if you might nor like that idea, so through much prayer I reluctantly left and found another liturgical Church where I am studying for the Diaconate first and than eventually the Priesthood....
  15. Paradise

This blog is to give a better idea of what the Biblical Paradise was and is.
  16. We Would Die Of Joy

We Would Die of Joy All things pass, that can be consoling, stay calm and take the next step, we have this moment then it is is gone, so important the 'now', even the bad times, especially the hard painful situations, for when present, we are face to face with the deepest mystery, revealed to us as Infinite Love, a love so profound that if we felt it for even one second in all of its power, we would die of joy.--Br.MD
  17. Tipping The Scales

It seems to me there would be more actual followers of Jesus if they first stopped seeing Him through the eyes of their political leanings, then stop seeing Him through the eyes of their particular faiths within Christianity. Eliminating these worldly leaning 'middlemen' can remove a lot of scales from one's eyes in regards to the Kingdom of God. Mankind prefers to make the Kingdom over in our own image in an attempt to have it both ways. © ...timothyu
  18. Jesus Said, “and, I Will Make You Fishers Of Men"

Surrendering all to follow Jesus, contrary to popular beliefs, is much more than repeating some version of the “sinners pray,” joining and attending some local church, reading the bible, and spending time with others who do the same. Jesus did not tell us to do these things, instead what He did say to His disciples is, “Come, follow Me, “and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19). When Jesus told this to Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew they immediately left their nets and...
  19. The Fatigue/lethargy Of Life

The Fatigue/Lethargy of Life Grace is everywhere, it can be seen working in the hearts of many men and woman, who may not have faith, but seek to relieve the suffering of those they encounter.—BrMD. “I do not measure time as men measure it, nor do I judge the intensity of suffering as men do. I know what I am doing, even when I hide My plans from men in order to test their faith in Me, and cause that faith to grow strong and indomitable. There are, alas, many souls who, in There are, alas,...
  20. Deeper Walk: A Spirit Life Devotional(from Somewhere Deeper)

TODAY'S TEXT: "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful"(1 Corinthians 14:15) We are still using the same scripture we use for the last installment of this series because we will still be dwelling on the subject of the unfruitfulness of the mind when we are praying in tongues. Praying in tongues is a spiritual bypass from the double-mindedness of our mind, directly connecting with the heart of God for the manifestation of supernatural...
