  1. God Loves And Accepts All Our Versions Of "faith"

Part of me thinks God is highly amused at our human attempts to understand and communicate with Him. See there I've just humanised God, in order to try and understand Him. As long as we aren't trying to scare people into believing in Him. As long as we are honestly trying to be obedient in the context of love, I don't think the doctrines are so important. OSAS? yeah maybe. Baptised infants? why not .....Mary gets too much leverage?.... I don't know. And the list goes on. As we all get...
  2. Levi

I thought about something with Levi from the bible and Levi from attack on titan (anime). I thought of it when I was looking up Levi Ackerman quotes for my signature, and found something calling Levi the "hope of humanity". Levi in the anime is the second-highest person in the Survey Corps (one of three branches under government control), and probably one of the longest survivors fighting titans (humanoids a few meters to 50+ meters tall in ranges of intelligence, special features, and...
  3. A Harder Day

Today was a harder day. I was able to go to church but was not able to concentrate well. I kept remembering all the things done to me by my kidnapper at church. It was hard to remember those things. It just showed me how much I was and am hated by my kidnapper. I have been listening to Christian inspirational music to heal myself today. I have been listening to Kari Jobe and her music is very soothing. Her music reminds me that I am precious to Jesus, even though I am broken. I sometimes...
  4. Valley

Sunday school and church were sort of convicting I think, not in the grip sense but like a small puff of sadness, like that feeling of disappointing or failing. I do not know if I was saved as a child after the worship leader commented on a song, remembering when he came to Christ the freedom like running out of the grave like the bridge of that song but I look back and I remember a few snippets of being a kid and hearing about Christ for the first time and my baptism and I'm like, was my...
  5. I Am Married Unto You.

Morning and Evening Charles H. Spurgeon July 22, 2017 Morning Reading I am married unto you. —Jeremiah 3:14 Christ Jesus is joined unto His people in marriage-union. In love He espoused His Church as a chaste virgin, long before she fell under the yoke of bondage. Full of burning affection He toiled, like Jacob for Rachel, until the whole of her purchase-money had been paid, and now, having sought her by His Spirit, and brought her to know and love Him, He awaits the glorious hour when...
  6. Genesis 15:5 My Shield Is The Lord

In Genesis 15:5 the LORD tell Abram "I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward." Is this not true for all the children of God that place their faith in Him? Was it only true of Abraham? If we were to live our lives with the thinking that God was our protecting shield, would He then allow us to be hurt by something and then tell us "I wasn't your shield. That only applied to Abraham." But isn't it true that God's children are still susceptible to harm and troubles? Yes this is...
  7. 30 Day Thankfulness Challenge Day 13

Oh what a beautiful day it is today. This week has been filled with a lot of very warm days, Some hotter than other, but for the most part nice and toasty. Now when it comes to the heat I really don't mind it, but my wife on the other hand doesn't handle it as well as she did now that she is pregnant. Which brings me to today's inspiration for my thankfulness challenge. So the first thing that I am thankful for is, Rain: It's so nice when it rains here in Colorado, especially since this...
  8. Breaking The News To Teddy

I had to break the news to my Teddy Bear today. I had to tell him he was adopted. He took the news better than I expected. No tears. Of course he must've grieved later in private. Teddy has been a big part of my family, since we have no children of our own. There's Rumpy (short for Rumplestiltskin), our goergeous Corgi/Kelpie cross. Getting on in age. He will be 9 this year but still the spirit of a child which I just adore. He goes to the same park each day with me but by the look on his...
  9. Christ In Revelation - The Eternal Purposes.

THE ETERNAL PURPOSES `God.... purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, which are in heaven and which are on earth – in Him,...` (Eph. 1: 9 & 10) The Godhead - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. `Indeed heaven and the highest heavens belong to the Lord your God...` (Deut. 10: 14) `God...raised Him (Christ) from the dead & seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly, far above all principality and power...
  10. Party Day

Have to get ready, lots of company coming. My driver's liscence replacement just came, but I can't go anywhere. :( I theoretically want to paint but have no motivation to do it. I think I had a mild panic attack this morning and am a little stressed now. I think it was poison ivy on my feet and it seems to be spreading. I live next to a doctor though if I need a shot. :) Blasphemous intrusive thoughts today, not as bad earlier but more mentally using curse words getting stressed and...
  11. Meditations 101: Thy Will Be Done...

When I think about this line, I think about a typical response people often give to this line which is, “no, no God! Let me do it this way!” It’s a very common response, and can be done by even the most Saintly of people, like Moses, striking the rock twice instead of speaking to it, he thus rendering himself unworthy to enter the promise land. I’m certain that all of us have said “no, no, let me do it this way!” at some point in our life. Thy will be done, is a line that all of us should...
  12. Notes From Study Of Mark 2:14-28

Mark 2:14-28 Levi is called, questions about fasting and the Sabbath Vs.14-17- Jesus calls Matthew or Levi to follow him. This is also in Matthew 9:9-13 and Luke 5:27-32. The word "follow" is akoloutheo means to follow one who precedes or it can mean to accompany to join as a disciple. This dinner in Luke account is called a reception. The tax gatherers and sinners is denoting that these were unrepentant sinners who were invited. Jesus said in vs.17 that he came to call or invite the...
  13. The God Series - Mercy.

Mercy. As our Father, compassion reveals His deep love for us. But as our God, mercy reveals His everlasting sovereignty for His creation that has failed Him time and time again. Without God’s undying mercy we would be subjected to His wrath and suffer the pain of disobedience from one generation to another. God’s mercy is without a doubt one of His most desired characteristics.
  14. Sson Of Man, Son Of God,

Son of David is a reference to his lineage, as bore out by the genealogies of Matthew and Luke. That's related to Messianic prophecy that the Messiah would be of the House of David, calling him 'Son of David' is a claim to throne of David in Israel. Son of Man is a reference to Jesus being King of Kings and Lord of Lords: And behold, one like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought him near before him. Then to him was given dominion...
  15. Dr. Edward Sri: Mary And Truth

I'm starting to become a big fan of Dr. Edward Sri, Mariology and absolute truth, right up my alley! I'm definitely going to be checking out his books, especially Walking with Mary: A Biblical Journey from Nazareth to the Cross. Here's some videos: By the way, "relativism wounds people" is now my favourite Pope Francis quote! Glory to God and Hail Mary! -JesusLovesOurLady
  16. Mirror Mirror On The Wall,

who is the most narcissistic blogger of all? What did all we narcissists do before the Internet? Write to ourselves in note pads at home? Talk to ourselves in the car? Sing to ourselves in the shower? Chat to our pets, being assured by their gaze that what we were saying was just plain awesome? Well I still do all those things as well now. My dog thinks I am a saint. A hero. I just hope God loves me as much as my dog loves me. Oh and vice versa. And I was just thinking of using that...
  17. Everything For A Reason

Good evening faithful readers. Congratulations I believe you're on blog number 21. You're all such troopers for hanging in there this long with me. Go ahead and take a restroom break come back and settle in with your cup of coffee because this is likely to be a long one. Don't say I didn't give you fair warning. Lol :) Tonight Im discussing whether or not there are such things as accidcents, coincidences or luck. So first let's see how the dictionary defines each of those words. Luck-...
  18. 30 Day Thankfulness Challenge Day 12

Welcome back to another late night edition of, "my 30 day thankfulness challenge." Today's special guests are 3 household items that I would rather not live out ;) Lol, but in all seriousness, I don't think I would want to live without these house hold items because they make my life so much more easier having them around. So the first thing that I'm thankful today is, My Washer: You have no idea how grateful for this item. I never realized how important of a piece of machinery this was...
  19. The Mark 2:26 Discrepancy?

In the "Messianic Perspectives" magazine, Nov-Dec 2015, p. 11, Andrew Wilson of Kings Church in Eastbourne, England gives an answer to the supposed discrepancy of Mark 2:26. The Pharisees questioned Jesus why His disciples plucked corn on the sabbath day. Jesus replied by citing the story that took place in 1 Samuel 21. In Mark 2:26 Jesus speaks of Abiathar the high priest, but 1Sa 21 speaks of Ahimelech as being the high priest. Abiathar was the son of Ahimelech. That is the...
  20. Christ In Revelation - The New Jerusalem. (pt.3)

Christ the King. (The Throne) `And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God & of the lamb shall be in it,....`(Rev. 22: 3) The word, `throne,` represents the rule & authority of God. We know that God`s eternal throne is in the highest heavens whereas this `throne,` in the New Jerusalem is just above the earth in the universal heavens. It is God & the Lamb`s rule & authority through Israel out to the nations of the world. Christ`s rulership is based on His Righteous character...
