Zechariah 1 -- Prophecy For 2019

1 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of Jehovah unto Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying, 2 Jehovah was sore displeased with your fathers. 3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Return unto me, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I will return unto you, saith Jehovah of hosts. 4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets cried, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Return ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith Jehovah. 5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever? 6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? and they turned and said, Like as Jehovah of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us. So let us consider these prophets. Jeremiah said that the exile will be for 70 years: Jeremiah 25:11 And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. It was like God had sent them to their room for 70 years. But that time is almost up and people are saying “if I had a nickel for every time someone said we’d return after 70 years I’d be a millionaire”. Today we are in a similar situation. We have Daniel’s prophecy of 70 weeks. The seventieth week begins when Israel makes a peace treaty with the many concerning Jerusalem. This was done on September 15th, 2020 in Washington D.C. which was at the very beginning of September 16th in Jerusalem based on the Jewish reckoning of the day beginning at sundown. So while Zechariah is talking to the Jews in the second year of Darius, we should look at the second year of Trump. He was inaugurated in January 20th, 2017. Two years later on January 21st, 2019 there was a lunar eclipse over the western hemisphere. Rabbi Yekutiel Fish interpreted this lunar eclipse that it was a sign that Jews must leave the diaspora. He saw it as a harbinger of the tribulation of Jacob. He issued this warning on the New Year of the trees.
