Youth Beyond Reach

I went to a coffee shop and saw about 5 or 6 teenagers hanging out who were from a school that is considered a well respected school in the area.

Some of the other kids were from a high school also well respected. that focuses on music.

I went there with someone who I seldomly run into the park nearby and so we went to the coffee shop. He wanted to talk to these high schoolers. I found it odd. but I tagged along and focused on my laptop.

What I had found was these kids. The entirety of their dialogue was cynical, and amazingly I suppose the word is. malevolent.

I let them know. that my impression was they thrive on hatred and they enthusiasticly agreed.

It was hard to manage being near this generation of teenagers who were ten years younger than me. The rest of the area isn't much better in its maturity since generally made of clubs. bars. and so on. But I could not find any sincerity in these kids.

One of them actually said she would want to be sacrificed to satan on her birthday. but really they were all mean spirited to say the least.

the guy says "I don't love" I repeated it, thinking it was humorous. and he makes a look on his face like he's making the attempt to repress his sentiments as much as possible to hold his post millennial cool youth demeanor.
