(after reading Acts 4:1-22, key verses…
19 But Peter and John replied, "Judge for
yourselves whether it is right in God's
sight to obey you rather than God.
20 For we cannot help speaking about
what we have seen and heard.")
When the senses overrule those traditions of our common school,
what are we to say but, “We had to do something with this, too!”
For, what cannot be denied, the notorious, for every tribe
is the Resurrection sweeping through the nations like a fire.
That’s why: first Jerusalem, then Samaria, and later, every tongue
are feeling what was seen-heard by Galileans Peter and John.
Generations later, scores up to this day
are healed, still people asking, “What shall we do with this, again?”
And we tell them “Let the Spirit break the mold of hardened hearts;
“He performs what Trinity longs for, in Oneness to impart
“by the Word and revolution turning over soil.
“What you hear and see, now and forever, happened long ago.”
