For some of us, 2019 will mark the beginning of new things.
Like I have done with past installments I will like to quote from previous installments in this series. And this thought featured in part 3 of this series and I did mention that I will come back to it. Now here is the understanding I want us to gain:
"Spiritual discernment enhances our spiritual positioning and how well we are positioned in God's agenda determines how much of it we see comes to pass during our days"
This is key in the spiritual configuration for success, our heart must be able to discern the times!Ecclesiastes 8:5 tell us:
"Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment"
Spiritual discernment is key to walking in supernatural wisdom! For it is those who discern the times that commands the times!(1 Chronicles 12:32). This is why Jesus chided the religious leaders of his days because they could not discern the times. You cannot have spiritual leadership without spiritual discernment!
Understanding spiritual timing is a differential factor in the success configuration. Solomon the wise man made a summation that was born of observation, "I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all" (Ecclesiastes 9:11).
This is why while the master walked the earth he was always conscious of God's timing. Every event of his 33 years on earth seems to me to have been timed to the last second! And I won't expect less of our own lives too!
In John 7:6,8 the word says, "Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come. Even in going for a party Jesus was sensitive to divine timing!
Jesus seems to be saying here 'you think you can do everything at every time, but hey that is not the way it works for me, there are strategic times to move in order to see the hand of God'. Your time is always ready, but my time is according to divine timing! Why? God has timed his works and his blessings, understanding what He has apportioned for each time and seasons helps our understanding of what He wants to do and our understanding of what he wants to do helps us position ourselves for its manifestation!
