As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

What You Don't Want To Hear About The Return Of Jesus

By Matt5 · Jan 3, 2021 · ·
  1. Summary
The return of Jesus does not refer to the day he returns. It refers to events preceding his day of return. In particular, events preceding the tribulation when life is normal. A series of sudden events will catch you off-guard and harm or kill you.

Examples: 9/11, 2008 financial crash and COVID-19. They will get much worse.

    Concerning the day Jesus arrives:
    • We know when Jesus is returning. It won't be a mystery. We won't be caught off-guard.
    • Revelation 13:5 gives us a warning 42 months out that Jesus is coming.
    • The arrival of the Antichrist gives us a 7 year warning that Jesus is coming.
    • Life is not going to be normal when Jesus arrives at the end of the tribulation period.
The information above doesn't exactly reconcile with many other references to the return of Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 - For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

    Matthew 24
37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

According to those two verses, life is normal and then Jesus suddenly and unexpectedly appears to take people away. How is that even remotely possible given what we know about the tribulation period?

Do you really think life is going to be anything approaching normal at the end of the tribulation period? Are you seriously going to be surprised that Jesus returns at the end of the 7yr tribulation period? Really?

The only possible explanation is that the return of Jesus mostly refers to events preceding his return when life is normal - in the time preceding the tribulation period, like right now. There are some exceptions which refer to his actual day of return.

So what are you saying? Those in the Covid world have missed Him?

Often when the Bible refers to the return of Jesus it's actually referring to events that precede his actual return day. These would be events happening during the end-time period (now, IMO.)

I'm saying that COVID-19 is probably one more sign that the return of Jesus is near (within a few decades.)
