What if what the church commonly identifies as the peak of spiritual development .. is just an intermediary stage .. and because of this .. to stay in church or to remain a pastor and keep your job .. it means to stop progressing in your spiritual maturity?
This would then keep up appearances for the crowds .. but one might ask .. what then .. are we missing?
Read about what happened in the early church .. perhaps we're missing everything .. so perhaps the moral of the story is to stop idolizing a finish line .. there isn't one or a set idea of what is possible on earth .. this is not the mind of Christ .. but with those with eyes to see, ears to hear, a mind to imagine, and a heart to chase .. well keep looking .. we're just not there yet .. obviously.
