What Do All Those Buttons Mean?
Have you noticed all those buttons by now, there are a lot of buttons, yet there's still some inconsistencies in how we collectively use them, or sometimes misuse them, and even neglect to use them at all—I'm guilty of all of the above—but I'm trying. The following "unofficial list" and "unofficial definitions" are simple guidelines for how we might try to use the buttons. Each person has his or her own views—and that's okay—on when to award someone a Winner or when to offer Prayers; and people have their own views about what is Funny and Informative or Useful. As Christians, we like to Agree when we can, but not be disagreeable. We like to be Friendly a lot because we love God and love our neighbors. We are also more Optimistic because in God we have hope, a promise of eternal life in salvation through our LORD Jesus Christ. Be ye blessed and exhibit the Fruit of the Spirit, because God is Fruitful through us. Glory to God.

Like: the things one likes or prefers; if it suits or pleases us; to find agreeable, enjoyable, or satisfactory; be fond of; used as an exclamation expressing affront; want to have (careful that we not covet); prefer or wish to do something. God likes us to be filled with the Spirit, speaking to each other in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, and for us to give thanks unto Himself, and submit to one another. What's not to like?

Prayers: what we say to a God: communion (without ceasing), supplication (lifting up our needs), intercession (on behalf of others), agreement (corporate), thanksgiving (count our blessings one by one); watch and pray (the watchman on the wall, continual awareness); spiritual warfare (the battlefield of our mind: repentance and forgiveness; putting on the full armor) Forum: Prayer Wall

Agree: be agreeable or suitable; consent or assent to a condition, or agree to do something; be in accord; be in agreement; achieve harmony of opinion, feeling, or purpose; be compatible, similar or consistent; coincide in their characteristics. When we agree with someone, we share the same opinion, feeling, or purpose.

Funny: experiencing odd bodily sensations; not as expected; beyond or deviating from the usual or expected; arousing or provoking laughter; in a comical manner; in a strange manner. Something that is funny is amusing or comical. Comedians earn their living being funny. So if someone calls us funny, make sure they are smiling before we thank them for the compliment.

Winner: something that is very popular or extremely successful; a standing ovation, notably successful, and with distinction; a success story; a praise report. If we say that something or someone is a winner, we mean that they are popular and successful, or that they are likely to be popular and successful. God says we are to be humble servants, enduring to the end, and by reaching the finish we are winners.

Report: This button we can use to alert a Moderator when we want to close our own thread, or request a thread be moved to a more appropriate forum. Also, if we observe a conflict or inappropriate behavior in a thread, rather than engaging in potential mischief or contributing to any perceived strife, we can Report the activity to the Moderator. When reporting multiple items, it's best to compile a list and submit them in a single Report so as not to over burden the staff. God bless them for all that they do in this ministry.
