We Are Seeing The Fruits Of Division

I am disheartened by what happened in Washington yesterday. It is hard to believe, or maybe not, the split in our country seems scary. I wonder if the next four years will be like the last four. If it is, will we actually survive the 2024 election as a nation?

On the left, Trump is seen as a Fascist. On the right, Biden is feared to be a communist puppet. How crazy is that? Can't we see that both sides are just mirroring each other?

Trump has shown me that he cares little for this country. By allowing this to happen. I do know that if he runs in 2024 (he may be in jail) I will not vote for him.

I not for the abortion issue I would be Democrat.

Someone has to speak for the 'unborn', the ones who are helpless against their lives being taken away. I understand the pain of the issue for all involved, but for me, it is murder, even if I have compassion for those who get them.

Abortion, like all of our societal problems, have their roots in a culture that has lost its way. Drugs, the breakdown of the family, and yes the seeming corruption growing in both political parties. Politics is not about the public serving anymore, perhaps it was never was, but a career, which for many politicians, perhaps the majority, is what is important. Power is a heady brew. Or it can drive one crazy, as we are seeing with Trump. There is no way that man is sane at this time.

I am just a tad left of center, and like many caught in the middle....not a good place to be at this time.

Well, no more talking about this issue for me, way to murky, angry, and complicated for me to understand. Sometimes all one can do is to trust and pray, and try to do some good in one sphere of influence--Br.MD
