We are called to incarnate Jesus Christ in the world

March 6—After Communion. . . . “Your body belongs to Me.
Take care of it because it is Mine. Do your work because it is My work. Rest, to rest Me.And when you speak to your neighbor, that is My public life.

The present situation for Catholics with not being able to go to Mass and to receive the Eucharist is painful for those who are devout and have an understanding of what this sacrament is all about. Communion with God under the form of bread and wine.

Yet, the grace of God is always the same, His love constant, His presence always there, worthy of all trust. This longing that many are feeling is actually a form of purification, allowing this desert experience to deepen their faith and love. Nothing can separate us from the Love of Christ Jesus.

For those who are lukewarm, this may actually deepen their desire, or encourage them to seek to understand this sacrament on a deeper level.

We are called to incarnate Jesus Christ in the world. That is how intimate God is with all of us, but it is only through a loving, trusting, relationship, that this reality becomes ‘in the flesh’, so to speak.

Belonging to the ‘Priesthood of the Faithful’, we are called to pray for all in union with Jesus Christ. In how we treat others, we should pray that the Lord shines through us and that our words are words of healing and not of division. That we become merciful through our own level of self-knowledge, and our understanding of how merciful the Lord has been to all of us.

This prayer below is one of my favorites. It is asking Our Lord to become one with us, or as I like to think, to make us aware of this reality. What the Christian has to offer, is the revelation of God’s love for each of us. Br.MD

Prayer of unity

Lord,
May our feet journey together.
May our hands gather in unity.
May our hearts beat in unison.
May our souls be in harmony.
May our thoughts be as one.
May our ears listen to the silence together.
May our glances profoundly penetrate each other.
May our lips pray together to gain mercy from the Eternal Father.
What a beautiful prayer between Jesus and you.
