Walk This Way

Being a Christian is all about making decisions. Each day we are faced with choices. Some are what to wear and what to eat which are both important choices but some are who are you going to call.

Everything we do and say sends a message to the world. It is either a message of hope or a potential disaster.

At the entrance to our door we have a mirror. It is to remind us to take one last look before we go out the door. Did we remember to comb our hair? Check our teeth for green spinage strings dangling or lipstick smeared.

Does our smile reflect a genuine caring for those we meet?

But it isn't just the outward appearance that we are observing. It is the sparkle in the eye that shows the joy of the LORD is there in your heart.

We pray for each other as we are leaving for a safe trip and for the LORD to be with us on our journey.

One of our grandsons was squirming during our exit prayer this week and grandpa scolded him saying, "You don't do that while we are praying. It is very disrespectful."

He lowered his head and said, "Yes, grandpa."

Then grandpa hugged him close and said he loved him and the incident quickly passed and we were on our merry way.

You could see the joy in the boy's step as he skipped along to the car. He was happy in the knowledge that his grandpa loved him.

It reminded me of the WORD that said, " But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

That is how we should walk, happy in the knowledge that our Father in heaven loves us.
