I went through a mental battle the other day, and all i could do is wait on the Lord. This battle took my joy but not my strength, praise the Lord. Today i feel much better. I Feel like praising the Lord. 
The bible says those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength, and it says the joy of the Lord is our strength. Joy and strength are connected.
Psalms 27:13 I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
Psalms 42:11 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
