Update Since Testimony

If you haven't read my testimony, you can find it here. :)

Ever since I re-dedicated my life to Christ, I've been going through alot of research and decluttering throughout the house, little by little. I even discovered that reflexology is considered a practice of witchcraft! I had a few books on it and I honestly thought it helped and have applied it several times on myself and family members throughout the years. I regret to say that the first one I ever got was so worn it split in two. That's how much I read it! Research and discernment. I feel like my discernment has really increased the past few weeks! And no, I'm not being hasty like some might think. I'm just realizing now how much stupid stuff we have in our lives and we seriously don't need. And besides, I've felt led by the Holy Spirit to do this. It's like a new feeling to me and I feel compelled to obey.

I probably should've put this in my testimony but my cat only got a brief mention there. :)

Animals are much more sensitive to spirits and negative energy than we are. I know this to be SO true now. In early December, I was in my bedroom reading, and the cat was sitting on the end of the bed, staring towards the head board, her eyes very quickly shifting back and forth, back and forth, as if she was seeing something. She looked a bit freaked out, too. I decided to assume it might've been mice and just shrugged it off. Well, since then, I've seen how she looks where mice are and she never looks like she did sitting on my bed. Instead, she gets that "come out, I dare you!" kind of look. lol She did the same thing downstairs, staring up shiftily at the ceiling and around our chimney area. One time she even circled the chimney, looking up. I took pictures of the areas she was looking at but nothing showed up.
Well, she has not acted super alert like that at all in the past few weeks. Even on the day where I felt so super light, like having the Holy Spirit fresh within me, she just stared at me, not blinking. I asked her if anything was wrong. She just stared. So I picked her up to snuggle her (she would often fight and scratch or bite me on this!) and she purred the loudest I have EVER heard her purr! She just snuggled for a minute and purred! The kids actually said they heard her purring from the other room so they came to see what was going on, that's how loud she was! LOL So, the cat's obviously happy and I am doing my best to keep a positive environment and encouraging everyone to get into their Bible reading. My autistic son is reading his devotional book everyday. On his own. Without me telling him to. WOW. That is jaw-dropping in itself! In the past, I would often have to encourage him to read it. And now this. Don't tell me God doesn't work in mysterious ways! :)

Myself, I'm reading through the New Testament. My husband has often suggested I read the Bible in a year but I told him that I'm going to read the New Testament first and go on from there. So far, I'm keeping up! Just one chapter a day plus I do other devotional readings. I've found some of my interests waning, as well. Including my choice in music. I'm finding myself going back to the gospel and hymns I used to play ALL the time (before I got into workouts) instead of the worship music that so many people are into these days. I'm not going to bash that type of music because I know there are some good ones out there, but my gut feeling has been to listen to the gospels of old. Or instrumentals of hymns. So calming and uplifting! I don't even have a desire to listen to the newer worship songs and... finding myself struggling to sing them in church. Sigh. So ... not sure what to think about that. At least they've recently been singing at least one hymn song during church and I think they can tell from the congregation, that the congregation prefers the "older music", too! Hmm...

So for now, it's back to decluttering and getting things organized and back in order.

But all things should be done decently and in order.
