Unfair God

Let me guess, the title drew your attention, didn't it? Yes, indeed, God is unfair. Why? Well, just look at what He has done through the ages:

He called David a "man after His own heart" and yet let's not forget that David committed adultery with Bathsheba and was responsible for the death of her husband. Totally unfair!

He chose Moses to lead the Israelites, though Moses clearly was a coward (he had tons of excuses, like him being slow of speech). Totally unfair!

He used Paul (who was once a murderer) as a great Christian apostle and leader. Totally unfair!

But the most unfair thing that God has done is to send Jesus to die for the sins of everyone! Totally unfair! People who sinned should pay for their sins, why in all heavens, must Jesus die for man's mistakes?

Who deserves all this wonderful things God is giving? It should be the good, sophisticated, pious and super righteous peoples. However, He looks at things so differently. Jesus said that not every one who calls Him "Lord" will get to go to Heaven...hmmm....that's scary...but it's true, Jesus has something up His sleeves on that statement.

So if God is being totally unfair by forgiving even the worst sinners once they repent from their sins, ask Jesus into their hearts, and decide to live a Godly life, then wouldn't it be wise to take advantage of the opportunity?

I mean let's reason it out, if God was fair, then all of us would be doomed to hell fire. However, His unfairness seem to be fair. He became fair when He died for our sins, because it is through His death that our sins are "paid" for, thus we are free from the damnation of sin in the afterlife. Because the "wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus", notice how it says "gift", see what I mean, now God is giving a gift (it's free folks)! Shocks, God is so unfair! Aha! So that's what it means all along! God is a fairly unfair God! Hahahaha!

But friends, we do realize through His unfairness, that He is a God who forgives, is loving, and is merciful. It's really all about what Jesus did. What He did on the cross is called grace (something we do not deserve).

So God is being unfair in that He came to take away our sins instead for us having to pay for it in hell forever. But He is being fair in that He came to be the "payment" for our sins instead of us. Therefore, we do not deserve what God has done for us, it is unfair, but because "...God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."(John 3:16).

Now, you decide, is He fair or unfair?
