Tornado Sirens

In my opinion those have got to be one of the eeriest sounds. Yesterday I was working and in the process of driving out of town when I heard the sirens go off. I continued on driving but was watching the sky for any sight of a tornado. Don't know where I would have gone if I'd seen one.

Continued on then the rain got really bad. I could barely see but felt some comfort that I was not the only one on the road. I could see the trailor with cows in it just a bit ahead of me so I followed them. I could see many of the trees swaying in the wind more than usual. I did not have a crew with me (I driver railroaders to and from their trains) so I was loudly vocalizing every scripture I could think of regarding God's protection. The one I think I said the most was "I'm under His wings, I'm under His wings". It's easy to laugh at now but I was pretty scared.

I got to my destination safely and the railroad managers had the drivers sit out the next hour. One was in his office watching the weather channel so I went in there and watched with him. We saw the news about Moore, OK and the school that was torn apart. There were more tornado's they said and of course they were reported as coming towards the town I was sitting in. It finely all calmed down though and the drivers were back on the road.

Anyway, here's an article I came across. Many are so fond of determining that a tragedy is God's judgement so it's fitting.
