I need to trust God more. A lot more. I fear my time spent on here is actually flight from prayer. Flight from God instead of moving towards Him. I'm hoping He is listening to this prayer blog entry.
But the truth is we need to listen to Him more than Him listen to us. That's why I feel guilty asking Him for stuff because I know that's just self-centred..."me, me, me" prayers.
I notice people like Quasiblogo on here have really healthy relationships with the Lord. That's enviable. Oops envy is another sin.
I was taught last night that the Book of Hosea teaches us about the depth of God's love for us. When we sink to our sinful addictions like Gomer, God will still come and rescue us. It is awesome to pause and reflect on that one. Yeah, I'm just like Gomer with my addictions. And STILL, He comes in search of me. You'd think He was fed up but no, His love is like no other.
If you're like me, you tend to take God's love for granted. Well, I take a lot of people's love for granted. How much did I love my parents when they were alive? Not enough. Maybe I thought they were going to live for ever. How lucky I was to get a glimpse of God's love through my parents.
