There Is Always A Connection

I've been watching the Gospel of John and every now and then I'll get something taught to me in my spirit.
Since coming back to God in 2014, God has been leaving me some bread crumbs along the way in my spiritual growth. I don't document all of them, but I'm now thinking I should be, at least the ones that aren't personal revelations for me only.

John 4:48
Here Jesus is disheartened by a soldier that sought Him to go with him and heal his son. Why was He disheartened? The answer is in that verse. Jesus knows that He is not the only One who has power to do these things, however He is the Only One to have Authority over that power. In other words, God has the "yea" or "nay" say in something happening or occurring.

It's why this can be taken as a warning also and not just something He painstakingly said. With Jesus there is always a meaning to everything He says.
Matthew 24:24
Revelation 13:13

With Job we have to remember that Satan was allowed to do the things he did to Job with the power given to him. When Elijah had a contest with the falsehoods, no fire came from their god. Only fire came from the God that Elijah worshiped. Notice that Satan does not have authority. What God says goes - even on a leash.

The importance here is having a close relationship with Jesus Christ, our Saviour and God. If we have a close relationship with Him then we will not be deceived because we know already what Jesus has warned and told us about.
