Experience is really the only thing that separates a new christian with a great memory and someone who's been a christian for a while .
the fruit and the intimate knowing of God cannot be replaced by seminary teachings . bible study or socializing which is sometimes called fellowship .. and perhaps sometimes it is .. but that is another study unto itself .
Experience is what sets apart those who are ever learning and never coming to the knowledge of the truth .. there's a lot of people who are ever learning nowadays .. and biblical philosophical constructs have been erected to give these ones a gold star because they never outgrow their teacher .. and keep paying his salary .
Experience is what increases our faith .. because faith is the substance of things hoped for . the evidence of things not seen, and to have seen and tasted of the lord and knowing intimately that he is good, this surely increases one's faith/trust in God and our lord Jesus Christ .
Experience is what gives us hope .. when it seems the whole world is against us .. because it is written .. not so much, though that gives some comfort . Experience is what gives us hope because we know the kind of God we really serve and know .. no matter how much we think he'll do from our studies and reasoning .. he always does better .
Experience is what cultivates love in us so that we have confidence on the day of judgment because in this world .. we are like Jesus .. because God is love . not just because it is written .. but because it is our experience .. and to this we testify as witnesses of this God we know .
