<~><~>the rules of the game<~><~>
They never bother, to tell ya farther
Into what you see;
They never care, at all to share
The problems behind their greed;
But that's the rules of the game;
The pain and shame,
Followed up behind your name;
The stain, the flame,
Of what is all the same;
But that's the rules of the game;
They don't teach or preach,
The reason behind their lies;
They just repeatedly reach,
Into the person inside;
But that's the rules of the game;
They stare you down,
Call you names,
"You aren't cool enough to fit in!"
"Your different",[wash my mouth]
"Your weird",
I've heard it all times ten;
They want you to cry,
They want you to scream,
The want you to give in,
Relish in the pain;
And for so long I did,
For so long I screamed,
But no one heard me,
No one but He;
I hid behind drugs,
I hid behind sex, and moneys greed,
I hid behind the pain that brought me to my knees;
I was alone, scared, and utterly broken,
Or so I thought, until I found the secret of livin;
I found out the greatest secret of histories past,
The secret they hide behind thin glass masks;
So call me a name,
Make fun of my pain,
Demolish my name!
But it doesn't matter,
For Now I know, the rules of the game.
They never bother, to tell ya farther
Into what you see;
They never care, at all to share
The problems behind their greed;
But that's the rules of the game;
The pain and shame,
Followed up behind your name;
