The Rosary a beautiful prayer for many
I love the Rosary. People can get themselves in trouble when they think that they have to say the whole rosary. When in fact, to say one decade, slowly, can be all that is needed. If said slowly, it can take 20 minutes to say a decade, it can be a great help to center. I also don't always use the prescribed mysteries but ponder over some part of scripture that I read that day for my Lectio Divina. The Rosary is a prayer aid, not an end in itself. Of course, the prescribed mysteries are what I normally ponder. It can be a simple meditation, on one word from the mystery. For instance, in the first joyful mystery, I will often just focus on the "FIAT of Mary and my own fiat.--Br.MD
