The Purpose Driven Man

Purpose: Something set up as an object or end to be attained. (Merriam-Webster Dictionary)
Drive: To set or keep in motion or operation. (Ibid.)
There is a purpose for every man as ordained by God. There is none on the planet earth that is an accident. There is an agenda, a purpose and a divine will for all of us.
"We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose. For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren." (Romans 8:28‭-‬29 AMPC)

Every man was created for a specific purpose by God. It is to be molded into the image of Jesus. God created us primarily to be like Jesus in our innermost being. Satan introduced sin into the life of the first man and his wife in order to separate them from God and His purpose. The original image and likeness of God in man was lost in the garden of Eden.
(Genesis 1:26-28)

Steps Unto Manifesting God's Purpose
1. The Calling: Genesis 12:1-4, 1 Kings 19:19, Matthew 4:19, 21. Every man is called according to God's plan and purpose. God calls a man to separate himself unto Him. This phase includes the aims and objectives of the call. He declared clearly unto Abraham what He will achieve with his life. Elisha had also a clear aim for following Elijah, though the latter discouraged him from attaining it, but the former was undeterred (2 Kings 2: 1-15). Jesus declared unto the disciples His purpose for their lives.

2. The Culturing: The man that will fulfil God's purpose must be trained for it. For three and a half years, the disciples had to follow Jesus for practical life training for their manifestation. Your training unto fulfilling your purpose could be formal or informal. Joseph's training was informal while Daniel and his three friends were formally trained for their role.

3. The Commissioning: When you have successfully completed your training, the Lord Himself will commission and post you. Wait for your posting letter, do not photocopy someone else's letter, it will amount to forgery. Joseph was posted first to meet his brothers; to Potiphar's house; to prison house and finally to the palace.
Conclusion: God's purpose for your life is great and wonderful (Jeremiah 29:11). He is ready and abundantly able to fulfil it. But the challenge is, two cannot walk together unless they agree (Amos 3:3). Agree with your Maker today and become a man that is purpose driven, who the enemy and the host of hell cannot hinder because he is on the Lord's side.
