The Spirit of God bears record with our spirits that we are His children of God. We are not only children but heirs. We share in His inheritance and He also is our inheritance. He is our exceeding great reward!
More so, if we hope to share in Christ's glory, we must also partake in His sufferings. A Christian must never be afraid of suffering! The gospel always strive and blossom in the midst of persecution and opposition. Wether in the old testament when Daniel and his friends were slaves in Babylon or in the new testament when the apostles were heavily persecuted and opposed by the religious leaders, the gospel of God's kingdom will always prosper despite the opposition. As Christians our attitude towards opposition must be different. We must know that the gospel, which is working in our lives, when we proclaim it to others, the devil will definitely raise his agents to oppose it. This is because the only way to deliver the human race from corruption and decadence is the gospel. If you are not yet persuaded that the gospel of Christ is the only way out, please pray to God for conviction. The Holy Spirit will take it up for you and make a deep impression upon your heart about the power of the gospel.
ACTION PLAN: Make up your mind, and ask God for grace, to suffer for Christ's sake and if need be to die for Him.
PRAYER: Father, by your Spirit make a deep impression upon my heart about the power of the gospel.
