The Eternal Presence

"When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tables of the Testimony in his hand, he did not know that the skin of his face shone and sent forth beams by reason of his speaking with the Lord." (Exodus 34:29 AMPC)

"A man with valuable possessions but without understanding is like the animals that perish." (Psalms 49:20 HCSB)

God's presence is the most valued possession in heaven and on earth. Unfortunately, it is possible for a man to have it and lack understanding of it. He may still go about conducting himself as a mere man. This lack of crucial understanding will make him perish like an animal.
The realisation of God's presence will help a man conduct himself in an honourable manner. Moses communed with God and cought a measure of His presence, but he did not realise it. This is a major challenge for us as humans, we tend to revert to our old factory setting whenever any new challenge come our way. We tend to forget that we are standing in the eternal presence of the Most High.

"And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”
(I Kings 17:1 NKJV)

Elijah, the Tishbite, knew he was standing before the Living God. He knew his God and was not afraid of Ahab. He could boldly declare God's counsel without fear or favour.
As the end time army of the Lord, we must be such people that understand our standing before God. We need to dearly cherish the principles of God that has been engrafted in our hearts by His finger. May the Lord help us.

ACTION PLAN: It is important for us to receive grace to consciously remember our standing before God.

PRAYER: Father, help me to always remember that I am standing before you all the time.
