Though we will speak the word of the Lord with fervour, without the Breath of Life, which is the Holy Spirit, people's lives will not be quickened. The Spirit of the Living God is the power that bring life into every dead situation.
Though bones have gathered unto bones and sinews and flesh has come upon them, without the Breath, the bodies will still remain dead.
This is also true when we study God's word, we may have the best Bible translations, commentaries, concordance and so on, without the Holy Spirit, the study of scriptures will remain dead and lifeless.
It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing.
We must, as a matter of urgency, request the Spirit of God to breath upon our lives and endeavours. We must covet Him more than all the riches of the world put together. He is the Eternal Power that causes transformation. He regenerates lives and set them on the paths of fulfilment of divine purpose.
ACTION PLAN: How often do we realise our deadness without the Holy Spirit? Let us wake up from our slumber and plead with God for an outpouring of Him.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit come upon us afresh and bring life into every dead situation.
