Talking Heads

Talking Heads

One of the hardest mountains for me to climb is to be kind to someone with whom I disagree with strongly. I know that arguing when in that state leads nowhere, that that actual communication becomes, in reality, a monologue, with two or more talking heads yelling down to one another. It is the first thing I can throw overboard when dealing with others. I shut others out easily.

I do not like it when others 'discount' me, so why is it so easy for me to discount others and think I am in the right?

Deepening my relationship with Jesus gives me room to allow grace to enter and to learn to not react, but to interact. It does not matter the outcome, but what matters is how I wound myself and others in an unnecessary manner leading to further trouble and more difficulty in the future.

Lord help me to learn to listen and to readily accept responsibility when I fail. ----Br.MD
