Strength To Endure The Dry Season

For around a year now, I've been working through some challenges; some internal, some external. In some way, I'm equating this to a dry season. However, I'm not talking about a spiritually dry season, as I know what THAT is like. In fact, this is very much the opposite. I'm more at peace, more in love with God, more thankful for the gift of salvation provided by the sacrifice that Jesus endured, and more surrounded by the Holy Spirit than ever before.

Instead, I'm reflecting on this concept that I learned about years ago: That a tree is forced to grow its roots deeper when there is a lack of water close to the surface.

However, in this case, it isn't that the ground has dried. Instead, it is as if the tree has grown in size. Pulling from some song lyrics:

Help me love the Healer, more than the Healing.
Help me love the Savior, more than the Saving.

I've asked God, if it be His will, that He take everything I have, everything I am, and apply it where it is needed. I would rather have nothing, than to be outside His will for my life. I guess I'm truly asking that He at least leave me the strength to endure through this season.
