Before we moved, I used to have a certain place I walked to quite often, camera in hand. All along the way, I talked to God and took in all the natural beauty that surrounded me. So thankful that He created such wonders for us to enjoy.
It was my special place outside of my quiet place, so to speak. Those walks helped clear my head and relieved any stress I may have been experiencing at the time.
The best part of each walk..... On one of the highest hills, there is a rock at the base of a tree and that's what I call my prayer rock. I have knelt there numerous times and poured my heart out to the Lord.
While I can do this pretty much anywhere, this place was a place of solitude. No traffic. No distractions. Just me, God and the nature He created. By the time I made my way back home, all the worries I may have had were completely non-existent. Oh, what a wonderful feeling!
Even though I can't be there near as often as I was before, I am content knowing that I have the Lord in my heart, no matter where I go and any place can be my special place as long as I keep Him there. God is so good!
