Singing And Making Music To Our Faithful God

'I will praise You with the harp for Your Faithfulness,my God. I will sing praise to You with the lyre,Holy One of Israel' (Psalms 71:22)..........The Psalmist not only sang His praises to God,but praised Him with music and we can do the same. We may not play the harp or lyre, but even a piano accordion or mouth organ or guitar etc can make music,in worship to the Holy One of Israel'. ................The harp is a stringed musical instrument played with the fingers plucking the strings. They are expensive to buy and range from fifteen strings. It is played by a harpist. The lyre is also a stringed musical instrument, like a small u-shaped harp. It is played by a lyrist. Jubal was well known for his skill in making harps. David was a skilful player. He used to play to sooth King Saul, who he succeeded as King (1 Samuel 16:14-23) 'On the harp I will praise You' (Psalms 43:4).......Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre' (Psalms 33:2).........Awake my glory! Awake harp and lyre. I will awaken the dawn (Psalms 108:2) The Psalmist said,'I will praise You for Your faithfulness. I will sing praise to You'. It is wonderful to make music and worship the LORD with the voice. Singing lifts our spirit and soul and reduces stress when we focus on God. It improves our attitude and mood. God loves to hear us sing even if our voice is not like a nightingale. We may sound like a crow, but He sees our heart. Everyone can sing praises to God. 'I will sing to the LORD all my life. I will sing praise to my God,as long as I live'. All eternity we can sing praise and serve God (Psalms 104:23)
