Jesus said the way we are doing things (and have always done things) is backwards. Yet people, including many Christians, missed His point and continue to defend those backward ways today as if man's way can be justified, even using Christianity to do so. Using an opposing ideal to defend it's counterpart. Logical?
Jesus' teachings referred to economics, but in reverse to the way man and specifically today's capitalists view it. He was no friend to man's way of doing business. He was not about power, religion or gain, but against exploitation against the poor, the widowed, the orphans, each other, etc.. He taught a reversal of the social order common to mankind as indicated here using capitalism of the world today as one example, a modern movement which mirrors that backwards human social order.
He favoured the poor, the broken, the humble, yet spoke against the rich, not only telling them how to right their ways but saying they already have their reward of their own making but no more. The oppressed on the other hand were promised much more. He represented an alternate and opposing system, yet laughingly many of those who prefer the self serving will of man still claim Him as their own. The Kingdom was opposite to what man holds dear and by the many who defend it that are reading this.
Jesus purposely walked the walk of those He supported, being humble and poor and associated, not with the powerful, but with the outcasts of man's society, shunning the ways of those who were the lowly's opposite. He favoured the oppressed over the oppressors. His whole purpose was to show us an opposing Kingdom which had no part in any allegiance with the ways of man.
The people after His time here was done, were left with a spirit of social rebellion which could not align itself with the powers of any day, then or now, for it was the enemy of man's established system. Hence it became a convenient 'religion' outside the mainstream of human will, and was eventually institutionalized to keep it's influence under control and from interfering with the traditional ways of man, thus promoting it as a spiritual entity rather than a practical solution to oppression and greed.
God does not bless those who shun the Kingdom and proclaim their ways superior. Capitalists and others of the traditional ways of man have had their only reward but walk on the wrong side of God's fence. Their defenders are equally condemned.
