"That is why Abraham, through faith, “was accepted as righteous by God”. The words “he was accepted as righteous” were not written for him alone." (Romans 4:22-23 GNB)
God accepted Abraham as righteous because he believed God. Abraham was unwavering in relation to everything God told him, he believed God completely.
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV)
It could have been difficult for him please God without faith. You also will not be able to please Him without faith.
Abraham also believed in the existence of God. Are you convinced that God exists? Have you experienced Him in a special way?
Abraham was persuaded that God rewards those who diligently seek Him. Do you believe that God will reward you if you diligently seek Him?
ACTION PLAN: Develop faith in the everlasting arms that deliver from sin.
PRAYER: Father, grant me faith in Who you are.
