Revelations Of Jesus: Your Calling Must Become Your Commitment

The priority of Jesus was to finish God's purpose, assignment, and calling, call it whatever you like, for his life! He pursued that purpose with passion! And that passion gave birth to undying devotion and commitment to see God's will done! This is why today we say that your calling must become your commitment!

Of God's purpose and calling for his life Jesus declared in John 10:17-18 "Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have the power to lay it down, and I have the power to take it again. This commandment have I received from my Father."

For His cause, He was willing to lay down His life! And so he advises us in John 12:24-25 that anyone willing to pursue their life's calling must be committed. Only the seeds of sacrifice yield the fruit of success. Until you are ready to die to self you are not ready to rule your world!

‘Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it dies, it bringeth forth much fruit. 25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.’

Amazing what Jesus said in vs25, that it is those who don't care about losing their lives that eventually find it!

Whatever a man is ready to die for hardly kills him!

Whatever you are not willing to die for you are not willing to live for.

Whatever you are not willing to die for you are not worthy to live for.

Paul in Philippians 3:7-8 says he counts all things dung for the knowledge of Christ. His life was nothing to him when it came to pursuing his purpose and calling!

‘But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 yea doubtless and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,’

For our purpose, we must be willing to lay our lives on the line (Revelation 12:11). Too much comfort will kill your calling!
