Revelations Of Jesus - Change Your Mind

Without the message there is no need for a messenger. Therefore, every messenger must come with a definite message! Jesus had a message he came with. He was more than a "messenger" of God, though he worked in that capacity, he was the son of God! He is got a message from the father and he preached it with fervency. What was the central theme of his message? Matthew 4:17,23 captures it!

"From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." The message he preached was summarised in verse 23 as the "gospel of the kingdom". Jesus preached a change from a natural lifestyle to a kingdom lifestyle! He shouted out loud - repent! You can call it a gospel of change, because that was what the word repent means!

In the words of the master, we cannot lead a new life until we possess a renewed mind. Therefore, Jesus message, first message or central message was to advocate a change in mentality, albeit from natural mentality to that of kingdom mentality! His message was simple, "Repent..." in other words change! Change your mind and you will change your life!

He came with a message that was meant to elevate our mentality! The master taught better insights for better living! He brought higher knowledge for the world to embrace - the knowledge of the kingdom. He said in so many places in Matthew 5:21-22, 27-28, 31-32 "ye have heard it said unto you thou shalt not.... But I say unto you..." "Ye have it heard it said...But I say unto you". It was better insight: "they might have told you this before, but I am saying something new now, something better, something of a higher standard". He offered the world better insights no wonder they marvelled at his wisdom and quipped, 'what wisdom is this?' It was the wisdom of the kingdom!
