Revelation 3 -- Where These Two Paths Lead.

1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse. Many of us were taught that the Catholic church (seemingly quite similar to Thyatira) was idolatrous and evil. No doubt the deep things of Satan and Jezebel (Vatican city) are. But at the same time you can find really wonderful saints who do hold to their first love. The movie “The Mission” does a wonderful job of showing the dichotomy of these two groups within the Catholic church. But the seven Spirits of God represent God’s speaking to the churches. This church is dead, they are lucky if they can get just a trickle of God’s speaking. It is like one of those phony Hollywood towns where the buildings are nothing but a facade.
